  1. http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...ames&id=247 hehe,,, so who's gonna be the first to re-register as peter donaldson?
  2. heh... my dad used to call me "Hobart" ... i was a tad chubby as a kid and put away all that didn't move.
  3. now this is wacky... "Right Now" click 'prelisten' button. they cut it up right in the midst of the flute solo. but ... is that a Herbie Mann sample?
  4. Now I'm gunning for the first woman coach in the NFL! or at least bring back Sam Rutigliano.
  5. thanks for all that info, Jim! there is such great stuff on this board to allow us "listeners" to really appreciate the work. aside - a couple nights ago a local channel's magazine show called "Chronicle" featured a bit of "made in new england" and visited the C.B. Fisk Company up in Gloucester, MA. it was quite an eye and ear opener. so... when you guys play the east coast you'll need a tour!
  6. speaking of Fabia ... i clicked the 'other quiz' link and got 15/16 on the "gash or tash" primer.
  7. grabbed that on that older comp, right? make sure to load the track "FlyJack" from The Night Glider' ... and that "Pure Cane Sugar" ain't too shabby.
  8. Prize? aw c'mon ... how about this premiere forum parking spot for the month of February!
  9. oh and were supposed to just assume that your railing with buried irony.
  10. speaking of Aphex Twin, I stumbled across Rubber Johnny on youtube yesterday ... pheeeewwwww!
  11. moderator ... please post in proper thread.
  12. you wouldn't happen to have a shot of her salsa, would ya?
  13. ... my next thought was "count the head lice on the highway"
  14. heh. know not of what this is but truly something new to me. just looked at your flexi site yesterday as a matter of fact. interesting items ... certainly well beyond what was in our magazines back in the 60's ... sure wish I'd kept some of them ... and for the life of me I can't remember even what was on them ... some even punched out from the back of a cereal box. but the funy thing is is that I'm working on a sketch to support an infant toy rendering and the baby girl holding said item is in almsot an identical pose as Miss Persil.
  15. seeing that Durium's test is already swinging it might be sooner than April for MG and sandbags are on the way. I'm just doing a single disc, the gaul!, and that will probably be underway before the month of February is done.
  16. hate to admit it but went to an Elton John concert on my first real date. the opening funeral for a friend ... was friggin cosmic for me at the time. had good seats and recall Elton polished off a good amount of a fifth of JW black. Second time I saw him Kiki Dee was there for that duet.
  17. Circumscription? Vox Populi? Dispositive? I'm gonna go back to drinking my Old Milwaukee, while Googling these words. i did: Circumscription: membership to "Moyl Monthly" magazine. Vox Populi: when father tells an untruth. Dispositive: colloquial put-down without being negative.
  18. AHA! so it's sidewinder who's been freelancing for Dusty Groove!
  19. Thanks Ray for putting up some fine music here. The download is the way to go. (I'm certainly out of my element here and after some listening really have no guesses whatsoever. I recognize a couple tunes here and there but stumped and showing how little knwlwedge I have and hence why I have not partaken for a while.) more eager to see the commentaries and I'm really just here to watch. so... #16 ... reminds me of some Robert Altman cue but no roadhouse door prize for me. Xene Cervenka?? #15 ... damn nice fun with that bari blasting front line. #14 ... another cooker with some serious solo action ... not sure how well the band is keeping up without being messy but #13 ... nice bit of exotica, does the cat have some Gato woven into that latin silk? #12 ... pesky french thing. #11 ... ? maybe a bit of Manne intro? #10 ... guitarist's date and I'm inclined to go french if not Kenny. #9 ... ? #8 ... ghost riders go marching in hurrah ... love that boomy atmosphere from the left hand in the middle ... i like this player a lot but no clue. #7 ... thinking British here with that bari and vibe going on ... Feldman or LeSage?? #6 ... probably my least favorite toon of the bunch but quite the adventure on saxomophones. #5 ... maybe Rudd playing straight. tip of my tongue the tune ... "nearness of you"? #4 ... love the segue of 4 into 5 here .. great #3 ... ? a bit of caribe in that latin vibe vamp but I never do well with that trumpet tone. #2 ... solemn Jamal? #1 ... "midnite" a bit too hi for Shepp, no? Newman? hope to get listening to more of "B" soon.
  20. dunno but i always see that as a Dusty description of stuff i look at. we need to know! This Here is not what i thought of. always imagine Chicago Steppin' as...
