  6. yesterday I am at my local grocery store and in the middle of all the Christmas songs, they play Billie Holday's "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm" (the original version) and it fit so nicely with the other songs and I thought who is the ultra cool dude programming this stuff?
  7. Have a great one, D
  8. Nice sentiments guys! I miss him, big time.
  9. Just did a search and didn't find the answer to these questions: was "It All Comes Back to You" recorded at the VV along with the other tracks on the original LP? Were the three bonus tracks recorded at the VV? Do the liner notes in the CD say anything about that, beyond the "commercial appeal" of "IACBTY"? Well my liners say IACBTY was recorded at the VV with the other tracks on the original LP and so were the bonus tracks. The liner notes just say more or less ( I don't have them in front of me) that IACBTY was chosen for commercial radio play appeal. I think the new bonus tracks are superior to IACBTY.
  10. Jim I went to J&R Music World today in Manhattan to ask about ordering this cd. They have a good selection there and they have ordered harder to get things for me in the past. I was surprised when they said there was "nothing in the computer" etc. etc. they asked if I can get the label and a UPC code and other info. Do you have this and what is it all about?
  11. thanks, Lon
  12. Is Shaw's Stepping Stones part of the recall because the copy protection messes up your computer??
  13. Does anyone know if Tower Records or J&R Music World is carrying "This is the Place" in their NYC stores??

  16. I dig him very much, but I didn't like Ghost Dog My faves: Stranger than Paradise Night on Earth Mystery Train I am probably forgetting something.
  17. Now I know what he meant when he said "Beam me up Scotty"
  18. I guess I am late to this party, but haven't had the computer on all day. Hope you have/had a great birthday Chris!!!!
  19. anyone have any more comments on these Fantasy hybrid SACDs?
  20. Agreed! Not that I can remember. Condolences to you Stros fans. oh and congrats to White Sox and fans.
  21. I have been sort of holding back on these, but I am curious. I do not have an SACD player. But, have many of you compared the regular CD layer of these SACDs to the same title availabe as 20 bit K2s? What are the sonic differences? Does it make sense to purchase one of these to play on the CD layer only if it is similarly priced to the 20 bit K2?
  22. Happy Birthday!!
  23. Not wrong at all. I hope you realize we (actually, just me) also were having a little fun at your expense. I guess I misinterpreted " ". Seemed like you were pissed. And I certainly don't care when Tequila was written, although I'm sure Mike Fitzgerald knows the answer. ← Ok, I thought you were serious, although the Joe Henderson thing was a bit of a tip off. I thought I was having fun at your expense and no I wasn't really pissed but I thought that was clear. Guess not. Oh the internet.
  24. Picked up this recent reissue and needless to say, boy is it good. also got the Live in Tokyo disc and my opinion of that one is going up.
