If I can get out of work at a decent time on Friday, I'd definitely like to come check it out! We are closing the month of August that day (I'm an accountant) and it usually involves a late night at work.
You'll have better chances of decent weather over Labor Day weekend. I think the chances of it being intolerably hot are slim. If you want to play it safe, the terrace reserved seats are decent and you'll be under the grandstand. But I'd advise getting the field box or the bleachers above anywhere else.

Don't eat for at least 3-4 hours before you go to bed. You'd be surprised how helpful that is in losing weight.
And drink alot of water. Helps your stomach feel full and can help prevent you from overeating. Plus, when you put it into your body, you are actually burning calories.
