There is a cd option. I can’t decide if I want the LP or the CD.

What are your plans shopping at record stores when they reopen?
Brad replied to jcam_44's topic in Miscellaneous Music
We have a small record store in town and I’ve bought a lot of stuff from him over the years and plan to go back when he opens. I talked to him today and he says the place has been sanitized. Everybody will need to wear a mask but he will provide gloves if you want them. -

It’s being done through this company. They haven’t announced it yet. I found about it by GD retweeting Vinyl Me’s tweet.

Paul Desmond/Ed Bickert Mosaic - NOW AVAILABLE
Brad replied to bebopbob's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
I emailed Scott this afternoon and this is the reply I’ve received back, which he said I could share. “Early last week I started getting emails and phone calls from customers asking about the status of their order. We work with a fulfillment house to ship packages and each day I would check their website to see the progress of shipping but every day the status would be the same: "open" which means it should leave that day. So I thought OK...it will leave the very next day. But apparently, what with limited staff and the onslaught of orders from the Herman, Mobley and Desmond, the warehouse fell behind. And being a fulfillment house they have other businesses too that utilize their service. An email from us explaining there would be some delays should have been sent in advance and for that I apologize. I was in touch on Thursday or Friday with the person responsible for overseeing the shipping and she said the shipping dept was full of Mosaic orders so they should be on their way this week.” -

Joe, that is one hell of a story. Better to be lucky because you’re pretty lucky. I think the answer to your question is both, from what I’ve read. Back in February when we were all starting to get educated, my sister was visiting her daughter in Hong Kong. When she got on the plane she cleaned every inch of her seating area just to be sure (as did most other people). She was supposed to be moving into a new place in NY but construction was never finished so she decamped to Maine where she has a place. -

As I’m sure you know, the Mosaic that was is not the Mosaic we now have. The company shrank and now they have somebody else doing their shipping. When you subcontract that out, there can be problems. -

Why don’t you email Scott. He’s usually pretty helpful. -

It all depends on how many sets they do per manufacturing one. Regardless, I’m sure it will sell out quickly. I think their idea of not announcing a set until it’s available to ship is a good idea. No complaints about when such and such is coming out, plus pent up demand for new sets leads to sales. -
Well, here’s the thing. Baseball is the least contact sport of any of the major sports. What does that say about the others re-starting. In addition, this problem will probably be around next year because it is unlikely that we will have a vaccine by then. So, what do we do? Just say it’s too hard, throw up our hands and forget sports for the next couple of years. We are a problem solving society: we have a problem, how can we have sports during a pandemic. We can find a solution. At the very least, we have to try. The WHO said the virus may be around for a long time and we may have to get used to it. I’m not sure I agree but if it’s true, ok, how do we live our lives? Moreover, the German football league re-started today. If they can do it, why can’t we?

No, the original. The scroll version must be something else.

I just finished this. Never did I wish a book to go on as much as this one. Dean Moriarty (aka Neal Cassidy), one of literature’s great characters.

Ours has been closed for awhile. Anything expiring during closure has been extended for two months. -
My missing package finally showed up today. It actually took less time for the package to find its way from Florida to me than the prior five weeks trying to get to New Jersey from NY city. Next are two cds I’m awaiting from an eBay seller in Japan. God knows when those will get here.

The same thing is going on with American baseball. It’s iffy whether there will be a season. If there isn’t, it may take years for the game to recover. When many people are suffering an/or out of work, they don’t want to hear about how much money you might be losing this year. -

Big time sports is back as the Bundesliga restarts. Hopefully, La Liga is back soon.
