  1. For those of you who may be interested, Rite Aid is conducting testing free of charge to you. Here is the link, https://www.riteaid.com/pharmacy/services/covid-19-testing You need to have a google email account but that’s easy enough to set up. My wife and I did it and it’s a very quick process.
  2. I’ve had this book for as long as I can remember. Might be one of the oldest books in my library, an old Scribners edition, which I may have purchased from the Scribners bookstore in Manhattan back in the 80s — what a great place that was for browsing! Sadly, no longer there and Scribners was acquired years ago and is now part of Simon & Schuster. Anyway, I never got around to reading it but better late than never.
  3. This is a great disk from Spotlite with a couple of Navarro tunes (which appeared on the Mosaic Dial set).
  4. Did you take that?
  5. Went and back and looked over this thread and in retrospect I’d agree with Mike although I’d also add the word “appreciate,” although maybe it’s understood to be the same thing as “understand.”
  6. She was on Morning Joe. Found the clip. https://www.msnbc.com/morning-joe/watch/how-coronavirus-affected-a-healthy-young-runner-83594821841
  7. Belated best wishes Chuck
  8. This one sounds super interesting.
  9. Being young is no guarantee. Mara Gay, who is a member of The NY Times Editorial Board, is young and a runner and she got it and as she says in the following article “The day before I got sick, I ran three miles, walked 10 more, then raced up the stairs to my fifth-floor apartment as always, slinging laundry with me as I went. The next day, April 17, I became one of the thousands of New Yorkers to fall ill with Covid-19. I haven’t felt the same since.” ‘I Wish I Could Do Something for You,’ My Doctor Said
  10. That doesn’t necessarily prove a causal relationship.
  11. From Rolling Stone: Little Richard: A Special Rolling Stone Tribute
  12. Definitely unusually weird.
  13. I’ve read articles recently where these kinds of incidents have become confrontational and violent. Managers and employees are right but these incidents have also become political. Unless the law has changed, when entering private property you don’t have the to decide what rules of the property owner you wish to comply with.
  14. That is my general feeling too. I never hold it against players to get what they can while they can.
  15. The local record shop in town is contemplating such an approach.
  16. Why the players are objecting to MLB’s requests: Five reasons why MLB players are objecting to owners' 50-50 revenue split for 2020 season Although baseball didn’t know in April the length of the shutdown and had probably only started to formulate plans to address the shutdown, they should have been talking to the players as soon as possible, as partners. The odds seem to be fairly long that there will be a season this year. At the very least, this will allow both sides to have plans in place for 2021.
  17. It’s a great article.
  18. Remembering Little Richard’s Kind Heart and One-of-a-Kind Soul By Peter Guralnick
  19. There is a cd option. I can’t decide if I want the LP or the CD.
  20. We have a small record store in town and I’ve bought a lot of stuff from him over the years and plan to go back when he opens. I talked to him today and he says the place has been sanitized. Everybody will need to wear a mask but he will provide gloves if you want them.
  21. Here is the Vinyl Me Please release. Pricey. https://anthology.vinylmeplease.com/collections/anthology/products/vmp-anthology-grateful-dead
  22. It’s being done through this company. They haven’t announced it yet. I found about it by GD retweeting Vinyl Me’s tweet.
  23. A new vinyl set.
