  1. It's even cheaper on Amazon UK than the US, £13.14 or almost $17. Why not order it from them. Even if you have to pay customs duties, isn't it still relatively inexpensive. Frankly, I don't know how the label or Amazon make any money at this price unless the manufacturing costs are low and the price is drastically marked up, as clothes are.
  2. I have this as part of the Vogue box issued a few years ago. Terrific record and terrific box.
  3. I have some reservations about the set but at $26 and change, c’mon! Placed my order.
  4. Unlucky match for Serena tonight. She was coasting in the third set, only points from victory, and then wrong footed, hurting her ankle and although she seemed to shake it off, it affected her and she lost every game after that, losing to Pliskova. Very tough break.
  5. Clemens and Bonds marginally improved their vote totals from 54.1% and 53.8% to 57.3% and 56.4%, respectively. However, time may be running out on them as they only have three more years of eligibility.
  6. The top 4, above, were voted in and all deserving, in my opinion. Thank goodness the steroid guys didn’t get in.
  7. I'm sure many of you know that writer Robert Caro has spent the last 35 years plus writing a multi volumed biography of Lyndon Johnson that are simply incredible books and essential reading, in my opinion; my favorite is volume 1. The books are a fascinating look at power: acquiring it and using it. The concern has been that since Caro is 85 he might not finish the fifth and final volume, which looks at the remainder of his presidency, including Vietnam. Yesterday, he published an article in the New Yorker, which is a brief excerpt from his new book Working, coming out in April about how he does research, what he's learned and so forth. The article has some great stories about his research on the Johnson books. He also reveals that the last book is still several years away. The Secrets of Lyndon Johnson's Archives
  8. 52.7% of the votes are in and the top 4, above, are still above the required 75%. However, Clemons, Schilling and Bonds have lost some ground.
  9. Anyone up for a swim. Currently 0 in NW New Jersey.
  10. I agree; listened to Disc 1 earlier this week.
  11. I can see both.
  12. A lot of upsets last night as Kerber the number 2 seed fell to a young American, Danielle Collins, and Federer lost. Cilic couldn’t beat another Spaniard and another young American, Francis Tiafoe, advanced to the quarters. His stay will be short as he has to face Nadal. He makes too many unforced errors.
  13. No one should wait to order this. You snooze, you lose.
  14. Courtesy of Jazz Archeology, here is a solography of Erroll Garner, Erroll Garner I was not familiar with the concept of a solograph, so for those who similarly are not, here's an explanation from the Jazz Archeology site, Methodology of a Solography
  15. Ringo's no joke. He was a genius and the Beatles were lucky to have him
  16. I have the same question as the goal for 2018 was exceeded and I assumed that amount would have been used to pay for the new server.
  17. The last thread I could find was from 2008 so time for a new one. Anyone watching. I have caught dribs and drabs here and there. I did watch all of the Federer Taylor Fritz last match and he was surgical in dispatching his opponent in straight sets. This morning, I watched the end of the Cilic Verdasco match today, a grueling five setter, that Verdasco let slip away; he battled to the end but Cilic prevailed. Cilic will now face another Spaniard in the round of 16. This is a rather interesting article. Serena Williams’s Practices Add a Wrinkle: A Top Men’s Player
