It’s not ludicrous but probably close to impossible to do because most teams below the top league in England, Spain, Germany, Italy and France (the top European leagues) are independently owned although Real Madrid does own a team in one of the leagues below La Liga. Another reason why it would be almost impossible to accomplish.

For those who may be interested, Lawrence of Arabia, one of the great films, imho, is on TCM right now, followed by Bridge on the River Kwai.

It definitely is complicated but if the parties wanted to restructure, it could be doable.

There aren’t enough teams for a relegation system unless you include the minor leagues. In such a case, you would have the best teams in triple A plus the teams that had been relegated in a league below the Majors.

I cleared mine as well and still get the original price. I see that the Quincy Jones is gone; I ordered it yesterday.

I had an album of hers, Round Midnight, and it seemed like jazz lite to me. Pleasant sounding enough but not something I’d care to listen to again.

I quite liked the first one and it wasn’t hard to find a copy. Finding a copy of the second one was difficult. There seems to be a crying need for a new edition of this series.

It received a good review from David Blight, the Dean of Civil War historians (along with Eric Foner), which is high praise indeed. Blight was just awarded the Lincoln Prize for his bio on Frederick Douglass, the top honor in civil war history studies.

Having read And Quiet Flows the Don at least a year ago, I'm now ready to read

Isn't that what the hot stove is all about, and with less than two weeks ago and all these unsigned players, that stove will be getting pretty warm.

I finished this just now. A rather shocking book. Won't say anymore for those who might want to read it.
