  1. Every few days means I'm in the habit of going off on AAJ on a regular basis? Don't think so. I did make a comment about them on the 19th. So what? It's my right to say so. Do you have a problem with that. It appears that you do my friend.

Another one which I think every fan should have is Volume 18, Bird Eyes/Stardust. This has the Live at the Finale Club in L.A. from 1946 (Miles, Joe Albany), a session with Benny Carter, Willie Smith, Nat King Cole, Oscar Moore and Buddy Rich, also from 1946, and a 17 minute interview with John McLellan in Boston from 1953.
  3. Why the bashin'? It was just an offhand, throw away comment. I just don't find it to be a terribly interesting forum. The articles and reviews would be another matter.
  4. So this means that etherbored now has to offer something else up to anybody? And if that person takes it, he has to offer something else, etc.? Does etherbored get to keep the cd or is it loan so to speak?
  5. Paul, I thought you said you weren't buying Mosaics anymore. How about it, big guy?
  6. Same here. Can't say it's a huge loss however.
  7. I'll take a DAB thank you.
  8. Nice picture but I only (only?) have 12 of these, not the full 16. I have the Chambers and Reese in TOCJ so didn't see the need to pick them up. Didn't feel the need to get the Pullen or the Liebman, etc.
  9. Hep Records titles are on sale over at Allegro.
  10. Man, you gotta be quick on this baby. I missed it by seconds. It was posted at 855 and gone at 856. Well, there's tomorrow.
  11. I never got an email but the item has been removed from my credit card and the site indicates out of stock/not available. All's well that ends well as the saying goes.
  12. I hate to be a fly in the proverbial ointment but wouldn't you need Mosaic's permission (or the label, whoever that might be, e.g. Verve) to do something like this. Not that they would object if it'll get them sales.
  13. Well, it's been on there pretty frequently the past week. In fact the one that went last night sat around for about half an hour before rostasi bought it.
  14. Reinier, I'll give it a try in the next couple of days (if I can get my son off the computer ). Brad
  15. For those who may be inclined, Best of the West is now back in stock at Dusty Groove.
  16. This has come to be a nightly event for Universal, with rostasi getting one tonight. I may have to take a chance tomorrow.
  17. This appears to to have come out before Someday My Prince Will Come which had some fantastic musicianship. Has anyone picked this up and have views?
  18. There's a copy on ebay right now for another 12 hours (not mine).
  19. Happy Birthday Mike (although a day late) :rsmile:

I think Cadence had a lot of these but I don't know if they still do. Some of the sound is on the kind found in the Mosaic. There are some sessions at the Pershing ballroom that are very hard to listen to. Then, there's a session on Vol 18 at a club in LA that's really good sound and definitely worth it. So, it depends on your threshold.
  21. I found that somewhat disconcerting but not surprising because after listening to him for awhile I know that is his philosophy, believing that in removing the pops, crackles, etc. you lose something of the music.
  22. I would have guessed that the Adams quote would have come out of the mouth of Eddie Condon.
