    “Bird In LA”

I’m not sure that’s the reason. May not appeal to the people who buy vinyl. For example, I’m a Canned Heat fan and the RSD folks have produced a lot of CH titles. I never have any trouble finding them and I usually go to my record store later in the day.
  2. You can how they — or Paul — treats him. The Jackson doc shows George quitting and then Paul and George discussing the situation at lunch the following week; the makers of the documentary to be made in 69 had surreptitiously hidden a mike at their lunch table: the Jackson documentary shows the audio of their conversation.

The lp seems in more plentiful supply than the cd. Strangely, the RSD site doesn’t list the quantities made of each (unlike the other releases).
  4. I’ve watched part 1 so far, going to start part 2 later. The part I find most fascinating is the creative process in forming a song. I can understand Harrison being seriously annoyed with Lennon McCartney.
  5. The only possible ingredient found in both aspirin and the vaccines are sugar and corn starch but these are inactive ingredients only.
  6. There is a new variant from South Africa causing alarm. Said to be a huge step in evolution from previous variants. Many nations, as a result, have closed their borders. The financial world has reacted with alarm. NYSE stock futures are down 800 points. It’s going to be a bloodbath today.
  7. Wonderful book.
  8. Here is the CD Japan link, October 20 Releases, which includes the o es released on October 20 and to be released on November 24.
  9. Misty is like Laura from the 40s-50s
  10. Only criticism? Too short.
  11. I have the Mosaic box, which I’ve been listening to lately and, although enjoyable, has a sameness quality to it. Based on Jim’s first post, it doesn’t sound like anything I need to add.

The release date is November 26, Record Store Day.
  13. For those who were contemplating buying the book version of the 1619 Report, here’s a review Adam Hochschild in today’s New York Times, A Landmark Reckoning With America’s Racial Past and Present
  14. P-a-t-h-e-t-i-c!
  15. Recent reissue from Vinyl Me Please.
  16. Just finished reading. It’s an excellent exposition of the different bombing strategies in WW II, written in a very conversational manner. Fascinating book. Currently reading Le Carre’s last book.
  17. Excellent. It was intended as a send up of the spy establishment but received mixed reviews. However, over time, it’s become more appreciated. The book that follows this one, A Small Town in Germany, is also good. It takes places in Bonn (the then capital of West Germany) as the UK seeks admission in the mid 60s to the EC.
