I’m in the same boat on hearing aids. When I get out of the car, off they come.
As far as mask wearing goes, the science that I’ve read is pretty conclusive.
Not political at all but your post was — at least to me — ambiguous. No one wakes up saying, “boy, I really want to wear a mask, it’s so much fun!” However, it’s necessary and even if NJ ended its mask mandate, I’d still wear one.
Did you ever discuss Lonnie Smith’s Club Mozambique on your blog. Looked for it but couldn’t find it. Btw, he has a new album out called Breathe, which sounds absolutely killer. Here’s an article JazzWax did on him this week.
Dr. Lonnie Smith: Breathe
Never had the Mosaic but did buy a few years back the book. I purchased the Tone Poet of Minor Move and it’s a beautiful sounding record. I also have the Conn but haven’t done a comparison.
Fully vaccinated and will continue to wear a mask, especially as NJ is in the throes of an increase. I’m planning or hoping to go to a Mets game in late April.
Acoustic Sounds has it in stock but since it’s limited to 2,000 copies I’m not sure how many they have.

I’d also recommend these but if I was going to recommend only two, I’d say get the Jass and Stash one

Charlie Parker – Montreal 1953 – Uptown 27.36
