  1. This is a real treat! Right behind Cool Struttin', hands down, my favorite Sonny Clark record.
  2. Regarding Braxton, this one? This is the edition I have. Great one, plus the sweet sleeve.
  3. Haha. This is how my wife directed this: Dusty Groove closes at 7 p.m., so I'll drive you there and get you there by 6:57 p.m., so you can only get through the A's. So, I bought Cannonball's Sharshooters, not exactly the edition I wanted, but they were practically throwing me out; no need telling them you're from out of town/once in a lifetime experience...save it; they don't care. What I did do, is finish shopping on-line: Chet Baker Quartet w/ Russ Freeman-Capitol/Pacific Jazz Conte Condoli Quartet-Mode Japan new George Wallington-Leonard Feather Presents Bop-Mode Japan new
  4. Love Pharoah, but just LP only still. Mid-seventies Pharoah may be a strange, hit-or-miss-sounding bag, mixed with post-Trane, and easier listening. Weird, how bol. seems to be using Impulse! era photos (front side of the gatefold looks like it's from Tauhid '65 and the backside looks like Karma era '68 or '70). Be curious what others think when you listen to this record.
  5. The Atlantic period has really grown on me alot. Intially bought this one nearly 20 years ago, and didn't dig it and sold it. Then the original album series came out and included this title, and now I find this one, along with the other Atlantics as important as the Mercurys. So glad to have this one back in the fold.
  6. Like this one alot. 👍 So glad to have this one, along with Boston Blowup. Purple patch of BN's there. Almost can't miss with classic Silver.
  7. RIP. Really appreciate his soundtrack work, especially Dirty Harry's Magnum Force; total badass.
  8. lols, never watched the show. 👍 I'll report back how the show is.
  9. I have it in a box (still unpacking into our new home) but think it was a BYG two-fer once, Homage/Even Break. I know the latter is there, can't remember if Homage is on it. Great stuff indeed.
  10. Is it? I dunno. Is that what Drew Carey looks like today?
  11. Upgrade, Upgrade. Japan Budget CD, liking the sound a lot.
  12. Yes! Found this used at a rock record store of all places! Abdul Wadud is hautingly beautiful on this record.
  13. I know there are some Ohioans here, even nearby. WE ARE GOING! https://www.playhousesquare.org/events/detail/jazzfest-25-sun-ra-arkestra
  14. LOLs, yeah don't think think any of that is happening, let alone Pilot nor some rich producer living it up in the Bahamas.
  15. Night cap. Thank you Felser!
  16. Okay, tangent time, but I don't know about all of you, but I'm really sick how these pharmaceutical conglomerates are inserting their catch words into classic songs into their commercials. Like how Ozempic changed Pilot's Oh it's Magic: Too... Too: 😐 Like, stop it!
  17. Yeah, really enjoy the Campbell (got to him live at CMA with Henry Grimes back in 2006) the Parkers and Shipps are all extremely nice on these thirsty ears.
  18. On the same set being offered here? One of the greatest alt/art rock/pre-grunge/college rock bands of the late 60's of all-time.
  19. Just got back from Chicago a few days ago. What part? We were largely on the north side. About Step Lightly. Never heard it, you like it? Now, an awesome find at Reckless Records on Milwaukee Ave North: The 1995 connoisseur with the extra tracks.
