    So glad to have picked up the Sonny Rollins original albums RCA box set, and one of my favs (What's New, is right behind it) from his RCA period. Most interesting period in Sonny's career, in my opinion. We Three. Roy Haynes, Phineas Newborn, Paul Chambers. New Jazz. Earlier, Coleman Hawkins, Desafinado, Impulse!

    Speaking of great runs, Joe Henderson's tenure at BN is an absolute treat. Think Dorham and Henderson had a great thing going on there.

    I love that album cover! Don't have a record player though. Hence, waiting for the thrill of someone dumping one at a second-hand store (which is mostly where I found the lp covers on my walls).

    Really, some pretty amazing records there. The Joe McPhee is a standout for me. Have it on cd, but if I came across the lp, that'd be on my wall the moment I got home.

    Just dreaming, but if I was independently wealthy, with a bottomless pit of cash, I'd just go ahead and order t-shirts of the entire BN 1500 and 4000 series, plus Patrick Roques Connoisseurs. Patterns would be pretty sweet.
