has anyone ever ever seen lee live in concert? i wonder how much of his sets were based on his current albums n stuff- like did he ever do cornbread live n stuff
-
omk okokokokok what you REALLy need is this 2 cd comp. set i picked up recently for 5 bucks: its 2 cds: the 1st cd is shortys arrangements for maynard, woody, and kenton. 2nd cd contains 2 full length "giants" lps (not the 'martians' ones) and also contains one track from the aformention lighthouse date- also includes a 3rd large ensemble date w/ art pepper i cant recall now, anyways its a whole lot of stuff for 1 low price
-
dont listen to them- what you really need is shorty n art pepper live at the lighthouse, 1952, on xanadu records. then u need to get Martians go home w/ jimmy giuffre

Car accident
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez replied to Stefan Wood's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
CHEWY CHEW CHEW THANKS HIS LUCKY STARS EV'RY NIGHT THAT THERE WAS NO CAR ACCIDENT- THE URBAN PLANNING OF THE STREET SYSTEMS SUCKS SO BAD. I HAVE HARDLY EVEN BEEN ON A ROAD THAT WAS "SIGNED" PROPERLY AND I AM ALWAYS SKETCHED ABOUT CAR ACCIDENTS AND DRIVING. I EVEN RODE BIKE FROM MAY-OCT AND DIDNT UTILIZE CAR @ ALL. EVERYBODY BE CAREFUL -

*********NO*********** if some amateur bootleg trader tries to alter this w/ digital tape hiss remover ill be pissed: i have a lot of yes remastered bootlegs w/ digital tape hiss remover and it makes the rec. sound WORSE, cause you hear the noise reduction come on only at certain peaks in the music, so it sounds more like the tape is DROPPING OUT than actually reducing the noise. i say leave it as it is, unless it could be done under the most state of the art circumstances

Chewy-Chew-Chew here to say: i have every bee gees lp ever. although i much enjoy their disco hits, i espically enjoy their early lps which i wouldnt call "psych" in any way shape or form. id call them progressive rock before i called them psych. TRAFAGLAR- is that in your set? that album is bomb. and ODESSA. and the IDEA lp, and the 1st one, and all of them. ooooooo YOU JUST REMINDED ME- i could swear i bought a few wks back a robin gibb solo lp from '83, ooo i gotta find where i put it!!!!! -

NO team meant to say NO teem eg. hank n lee...
-
don't blow a gasket over this hank w/ miles stuff- in the light of all the great things hank did, its a nice "feather-in-his-cap" so to speak but that is by all means not hanks "claim to fame". Hank was proud to be involved w/ miles but hank and miles were to "team" the way hank and lee were.
