  7. ---i should add that i dont know a lot about this sort of jazz- but #1 props to Chris A. doing this #2 even though i dont know about or listen to this sort of jazz, every track sounded good to me, im listening to it now, a lot of it is blues based i think. #3 the sound quality is FANTASTIC. ive seen the pic chris a posted yrs back, of the setup they used to record these.....well this set sounds amazing, and i totally know its not """just cause i have a white label promo"""". love hearing this classic jazz, but in HQ sound.
  8. hey, youve been around rt did you see him pre or post 2005 comeback, theres a video a NYC show from 1991 on youtube, its out of control ------- **ill tell u what im -NOT- listening to rt now, is Herb Wong's test pressing of Charisma that blue note-liberty sent him to do the liner notes for. it was 7AM and there were 4 bids at 34 dollars and 9 seconds left i bid 120 and it was immediately rejected w/ my next option being 167 and some guy won it for 166. it was my one opportunity in life to have the worlds 1st copy of Charisma, and i f'd it up ///let me add when he died, this is the one record i was wondering about. ive been waiting all this time. its just a little part of history, its not the end of the world i didnt get it, but it would of been nice to be the person to hold on to it

  11. not my pic w this stickers but this 78 from 1929 sounds better than like every 78 i have from the 1940s decade. amazing HQ sound on this, the b side even has some vocals, that sound great in "the mix" even though its 1929 and there is no mix, right
  12. i only have the GNP album 'solemn meditation' and a live lp ornette//cherry/bley/haden/higgins live in LA. so i guess i only have his west coast jazz era? i have an original sonny meets hawk -cover- (no lp). i knew his two women he was with carla bley and annette peacock are both way out there, so i always thought he must of been too but i dont know his story- i know he used the moog modular systems in late 60s too. he played w/ konitz a lot too i bet. ill listen to the live ornette soon, its on inner-city
