Just heard the other night (on letterman) Joss Stone. She sang a song called "Fell in love with a boy." and sounded a whole lot like Janis Joplin. The song was GREAT!! Anybody know anything about Joss? Before I buy the cd has anybody checked it out? How is the rest of the cd? B)

here in miami, we love our cafe con leche (bustelo or pilon please!). some drink it sin leche (a cafecito - or served mucho as a collado) and some prefer a cortadito ( 2 parts leche, 1 part coffee. i am about to sit down to a curahora mismo! i take mine sin azucar! B)

i heard that once don pullen was performing and he hit the piano keys so hard that he dislocated his finger. the story continues that he just kept on playing and finished the set. is this true? does anyone have the details? when, Where? etc.! enquiring minds want to know! B)

o.k guys, i listeneed to it in the car. much better, but the sound quality still stinks. could not hear the vocals or the voices of the artists. i was able to appreciate the music however i stand by the title of this thread: DON'T BUY THIS CD. (Buy Modernistic instead!). B)

has anybody else heard of this young tenor sax player? i stumbled upon "street scenes" in the used bin and was hooked! followed it up with "the departure" and "obsession." all of these cd's are great and this cat can really play! check him out! B)
