  1. You know, if they were still doing Mosaic Selects, those Muse dates would make a nice collection. I remember SONGS OF COURAGE, with a few guests appearances by Roland Alexander, being quite fine.
  2. FWIW, this can be purchased on Amazon for a mere 2.97 USD. I prefer to transact via Bandcamp (thanks for that link!) myself, but if you are on a budget...
  3. The NYT on the new CT: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/02/14/arts/music/cecil-taylor-return-concert.html More info here: https://oblivionrecords.co/post/668026165367341056/our-new-release-50-years-later-a-new-vintage
  4. This Riverside date of roughly the same vintage is also very enjoyable.

Love this compilation of experimental Uruguayan pop from the 80s: https://vampisoul.bandcamp.com/album/am-rica-invertida
  6. Dottie "Doc" McStuffins Dashiell Hammett Alan Turing
  7. Curious about the other project. Not so interested in the Frisell-Lovano trio. (Though I'd like for those two musicians to surprise me. I know Sorey will.)
  8. As good as this sort of thing gets.
  9. Edward Everett Horton Cindy Lou Who Keith Moon
  10. An LP I have rather stupidly overlooked for far too long.
  11. Nice! Thanks!
  12. Afraid I could not say. From what I can tell, this is an official Something' Cool/DIW release.
  13. This one is also quite nice... intersting to hear Chet Return to one of the Zieff/Twardzik pieces after so many years.
  14. Long. Interlocutor is novelist Frederic Tuten. Good stuff. https://bombmagazine.org/articles/henry-threadgill
  15. This interview with Henry Threadgill (conducted by novelist Frederic Tuten) just dropped at BOMB. https://bombmagazine.org/articles/henry-threadgill/
  16. First Mosaic I ordered was the Woody Shaw CBS set. I believe I saw an ad in HIGH FIDELITY magazine. As soon as I received their print catalog, I ordered the Herbie Nichols set. I'd heard "House Party Starting" on a PIANO JAZZ compilation issued by Smithsonian and was desperate to hear anything else by him.

LIL' BEETHOVEN is genius. Loved the film as well. I was introduced to them thanks to their appearance in the disaster film ROLLERCOASTER.
