Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! Among my many blessings are my wonderful friends on this board. Hard to believe it's been 7 years since I joined. Enjoying a few days off with friends in Colorado after finishing up a couple gigs, then back to Tally on Saturday.

I've actually spent a lot of money on music I was unaware of because of those threads, so I'd have to say I'm a fan, conn!

The closing ceremonies were a little strange, but I did enjoy hearing Bob Costas get to say "the always enjoyable giant inflatable beaver".

One thing that cracked me up- on the portion with all the interviews they apparently felt it necessary to supply Art Blakey with subtitles.

How is that show, Lon? The premise seemed interesting, but does it deliver?

Jake w/Woody Bill Holman's great chart on After You've Gone. Soloists are Billy Hunt and Sal Nistico. And Jake swinging like a MF. Holy crap, what a Herd that was!

Just heard about this. I got to know Jake through my connection w/Woody's band and had the opportunity to play with him on several occasions. A great swinging drummer and a very funny and kind man. I love the 60s Herd mostly because of Jake Hanna's playing. Another great one leaves us. RIP.
