Clunky, you may have a hard time getting the remainder of the French RCA LP releases. The Centennial box added 5 alternates to the pre-1940 material that had not been unearthed when the vinyls were being produced.
The Masters of Jazz series stopped at vol. 12 up to January 1931. The forthcoming Mosaic box will not include pre-1931 sides.
Anybody knows if the bonus tracks added to this 'Complete Prestige' Japanese box are newly unearthed sides?

Thanks every one!
Looks like a very good start to a New Year.
Received bottles of hard-to-find wines and a Havana-based friend is showing up this weekend with a box of cigars!
All this will surely contribute to shorten my life expectancy but will also provide much enjoyment to what remains of it
Then I should have bought the trumpet copy (near mint) I saw last time I visited the Princeton Record Exchange. It was priced at 44.99 or 49.99, can't remember for sure. But under $50!
Thanks for the info, Dan!
Lots of interesting albums there at very reasonable prices. The Hank Jones, Jimmy Rowles, Sonny Stitt, Budd Johnson are some that I would recommend. I'll need to have some of these shipped back to France where they come from!
Now is your chance of getting this wonderful vocal album! One of my favorites! I included one track from it when I compiled my Blindfold Test (nr. 34).
Looks like it's still considered French property and remains unissued enywhere else, except Japan!
Managed to get a promo of this album. The disc came in one of those round metal boxes that were used to store film reels! Cool
$50 would be an OK price for a Mint copy but half that would be allright for the current state of the copy you describe. If it's an original it should have a Verve Records Inc. lettering at the bottom of the labels (if it's MGM letterings, it is not an original release and is worth less).
And chewy is absolutely right!
