I voted for Coltrane but on reflection some of the younger players I hear (and there's not that many) seem to sound more like Brecker.

One interesting thing that emerged from Michael Cuscuna - that there's a tenor battle between Tina and David Newman on Ray Charles' DVD O Genio - Live In Brazil on "Birth of the Band". I remember these in the early 50s (?). A lot of fun, I still have the right number of toes so I don't think they did much harm to me.
