I am listening to The Complete Pacific Jazz Sessions - Gil Evans now, and can offer nothing but positive accollades. I like the latter half better, but didn't hear anything I didn't enjoy. It ends on a high note with "La Nevada"--great tune! Big !

I was at that Dodger game yesterday, seated comfortably in a luxury box courtesy of my good friend's wife's insurance company. Nomar with a walk-off grand slam with two out in the bottom of the ninth to break a 1-1 tie, I yelled myself hoarse. The second Dodger game I've been at with a walk-off grand slam (I was also at Steve Finley's one to clinch a playoff spot two years ago). I'm a good luck charm! The Dodgers should give me a free season ticket. Unfortunately for my boys, the Padres and Phillies keep on winning.

Shut up, Hot Ptah! As a relative neophyte, I have trusted Yanow's AMG reviews and found them dependable. I also appreciate Scott's candor and like others hope he'll continue to contribute here. Most of all I depend on the regulars of this board for recommendations, far moreso than any critic.

Actually, their defense isn't that bad. It's the offense which is mf terrible.

The Raiders are the worst team in the NFL, hands down. I can't bear to watch them, I watched the other games instead. At least the other games were competitive.
