I am really tempted to buy one of these. I've got a bunch of vinyl I'd love to put on cds for listening convenience.

I've had the title track for ages, but I've never heard the whole album. Their version of "Viva Tirado" is a nice compliment to the Gerald Wilson version, pared down instrumentation and a solid, funky groove (it was sampled by corny rapper Kid Frost on his cheeseball song "La Raza"). I'll have to track down the whole album, the track list sounds cool!

One has to wonder whether there was something already wrong with the larger aircraft that crashed, whether it was already in distress which caused the collision. Amazing story regardless.

The Mets have been the best team in the NL all year. However, the Dodgers are playing great ball right now. The MLB Playoffs have been exciting the last few years, hopefully this year will not be an exception. Go Dodgers!

You're right JLarsen. I actually have the Perry/Kingsley album, which I bought thinking, "hell, if the Beasties named their album after it." It is indeed awful--with the exception of "Cosmic Ballad" which has this strange appeal to me.

Not taken as one, SS1. I'm just a bitter Raider fan, so I come across angry.

Yeah, I've been way off my game. It's not difficult to understand why a Raider fan isn't too hyped on football right now. The NBA can't start soon enough.
