  1. then you should probably just put it away and save it for that rainy day company. seriously...
  2. why don't you save it--you never know when you might have company who would really, really love to try some. really.
  3. Come on, Catesta! It's a Friday night! If you would show up, I'd buy the first round.... I'd even wear my "I Heart Catesta" shirt...
  4. and in addition to that, hope you had a great birthday! Go out and celebrate in style!
  5. Happy Birthday, Patricia. I always enjoy your posts. I wish for you the best in 2006--hope your day has been a fun one!
  6. Happy Birthday, Jeff! We miss you around here!
  7. I'm going to be there! Wouldn't it be nice if Chuck and Ann came out to play? (hint hint hint) I had so much fun meeting board members at Bakers--it would be nice to meet some more.
  8. So Andy, tell me.... does arithmetic keep you warm at night now?
  9. oy... from Bob Kravitz's column today in the Star:
  10. So how was the zoo? It's been 55 degrees and very stormy today. Sun broke out a little while ago and produced the most beautiful rainbow-- 180 degrees of perfect ROYGBIV. Anybody else in Indy see it?
  11. I loved it when he pumped the game ball in the air after Mike Doss presented it to him--I've never seen that much emotion from him on the sideline. It's been such a sad couple of weeks for the entire community; it was so nice to have him back.
  12. Spaghetti with homemade sauce. I cleaned out the fridge and used tons of sweet peppers, mushroom, garlic, basil and anything else I could think to add. Simmered most of the afternoon. It was very tasty topped with freshly grated parmigiano reggiano. I always make way too much, so it looks like I will be eating this all week.
  13. I'm offended that you didn't include a reference to Festivus. And if you're offended, then I'm offended that you're offended. So there. Ahh.... but Festivus is all about the airing of grievances, so actually Jim provided you with the opportunity to air a grievance which is actually like a little 'holiday present' to you. Full circle and all that....
  14. Jerseys? I have jerseys.... don't need no more jerseys....( my Dale Davis jersey is ca. 1991. And he's a Piston now.. ) Love my Dale Davis but no way I'm wearin' a Pistons jersey.... Oh yeah.... and then there's my Artest jersey ... Maybe I'll put that one away and just hang with my Jermaine O'Neal jersey for a while; better "chemistry" with that one...
  15. Marvin would throw him down too...
  16. Just for you, SS1 How about Marvin getting into it with Ike Taylor
  17. yeah I saw it.... he definitely needs to keep his day job... EDIT: oops... I didn't see the 'pump', I'm referring to when he picked up the end zone pylon and putted the football. I think it rolled about a foot....
  18. Happy Birthday DTMX! You always make me laugh.
  19. Still hearing "This is the Place" in Indy on WICR; heard "Play Nice" as I was driving to our satellite office in Greensburg about an hour ago.
  20. Jar Jar Binks Rip Hamilton Reggie Miller
  21. Happy Birthday, Paul!!
  22. A perfect evening (except Chuck wasn't there )
  23. Bakers-- what a great club! I *love* that place and the people. Everybody was bobbing their heads, even those who were getting serious with their food which was quite a sight. I heard quite a few " now that's what I'm talkin' about!" in response to the band. Paul, it was so nice to meet you and your great friends! I loved watching their reaction to the music. It was quite a "kismet" moment when we were seated at the only two seats left in the house which happened to be at your table. Howard and Gwenn were a hoot. She mentioned that she had seen quite a few greats in the day at Bakers as well as her mother before her ( Billy Holiday, just to name one...) At one point early in the evening she said, "I used to love [insert smooth jazz sax player of choice] a lot, but I found a new love --Organissimo!" She was thrilled that the band signed a CD for her. I bet she tells *all* of her friends about Organissimo. Randy, I wish I could have chatted with you a bit too, but you spoke volumes from the stage-- it was great. I loved how everybody rushed the stage after the first set to buy CDs. I figured that you guys would be pretty busy between sets; you had a roomful of very happy listeners. I would recommend everybody see the guys live, especially at Bakers, even if you have to drive a bit to do so.
  24. Artest was <trying> to make a joke about boxing Ben for money. If anybody else in the NBA had said something like that, everybody would have gotten the joke. Too bad everybody outside of Indiana only gets to see one dimension of Artest. Not so sure it would be a 1st round knock out; Ron's father was Golden Gloves.
