  1. I've been sniffing amonia all day
  2. why so testy, Couw? It's been a rather fun thread afterall...
  3. Dude, your skillz is even worse. Ever heard of looking up the image at the original address? http://www.worth1000.com/entries/117000/117088GMok_w.jpg um... click on your link, bro...
  4. Does this mean that this thread has to come to an end? I'm loving the display of google image skills. Not that I intend to make light of a serious potentially rabid animal situation; I'm glad it's been resolved, but damn some of these pics and posts are hilarious.
  5. Are you sure that it's not, now, all in your head? "Villains!" I shrieked," dissemble no more! I admit the deed! --tear up the planks! here, here! --It is the beating of his hideous (squirrel) heart!"
  6. vodka. in the watermelon. no salt.
  7. Same here. After 10 years, I've finally found a squirrel-proof feeder. Finally foiled them...for now. After a hard day:
  8. I think he would do a great rendition of "The Final Countdown". I bet he'll do it for you if you ask...
  9. I've heard that's *code* for a delay due to pilot needing to sober up... Oh, and Happy Belated 99th Birthday!!!
  10. Kevin~ I'm so sorry to hear about the sudden loss of your father. Thank you for posting such a lovely tribute to him. I was in my teens when I lost my father, and at times it seemed difficult to remember him. But the older I get I'm finding more of my father in myself. While sometimes a little startling... ("did I just do that quirky thing that Dad used to always do?"), those occasions make my memory of him that much more vivid and precious. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
  11. I found a link for the newspaper article, although I'm not sure how long the link will work. It's such an inspiring story that I thought others would enjoy reading it. http://lsj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/...=73251185777967
  12. organissimo w/ Arno Marsh at Baker's Keyboard Lounge. Midway thru their second set, and they're cookin'! They're doing 'Clap Yo' Hands, and the crowd is lovin' it! Conn, where are you!
  13. Happy Birthday Randy!!
  14. I was so saddened to hear about his passing. Indeed he was much too young. I only knew him from his work with the paper and at the Casba. I'm sorry to hear that this has affected you on a more personal level, Mark. Thanks for posting the link to the article. It describes a compassion and love for humankind that never requested recognition. I loved the link to his photo gallery. I especially like the picture of his kitten, Quatro, and the one of Gordon Parks. David: I'm so sorry to hear about Lilly. Like Mark said, keep the faith because cats are pretty resourceful. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you guys, too.
  15. Congratulations Chuck and Ann; here's to many more years together.
  16. That story sounds like it could have come straight out of rural Indiana... all that's missing is a meth lab.
  17. Happy Birthday Peter!!
  18. Congratulations to you and your bride, Paul! Enjoy the journey!
  19. Happy Birthday, CJ! You should drive up to Syracuse for the Jazz Festival and treat yourself to an organissimo show!
  20. This is exactly why I like him. Plus he's from Pittsburgh (and according to some folks, we're all asses... )
  21. I think you're describing, in general, most 23 year olds, athlete or not.
  22. I love their cover of "No Matter What" by Badfinger.
