  1. Barak! What a sweet baby!! Happy Hanukkah!!
  2. Oh! I forgot to reply to your other thread--sorry! Unfortunately, I won't be at the Gracie's gig. I'm too busy with Catesta's cookin' and ironin'. But enjoy the gig! It's been awhile since you've been to one. Hopefully we can catch up at a Baker's gig soon.
  3. They better be thinking about ironing my shirts and putting some grub on the table. Yep, that's where I've been. Almost done and done.
  4. My brother and sister-in-law live in English Hill in Redmond and have been very fortunate. There is flooding all around them, but their house is at the top of a hill and has withstood the storms well. Their already difficult commute into Seattle has been miserable, but it could be much worse for them.
  5. So happy for you, Peter; you deserve all the best. ..and yay for Philly in January!!
  6. Unfortunately, my 83 year old step-father might respond to this because it is so official looking. It helps when I can stay a few steps ahead of these, and I hadn't seen this one yet. Thanks for the heads up, Dan.
  7. Happy Birthday!!
  8. Congratulations on your baby girl!! We want pix and a name!!
  9. "Conn's a dick". As I thought.... just checkin' (Sorry Conn, can't resist)
  10. Wow. Never have 3 sentences summed it up so thoroughly and correctly.
  11. Hmmm....so what do you say about the girls who exit the chat room?
  12. I used to like be amused by him in the past, but he's become such a Bobby Knight homer that it's just embarrassing. Well, he's always been a Bobby Knight homer, but especially in recent years how can someone not be objective and agree, even to a small extent, that Bobby has crossed the line in the past.
  13. YES! He's an annoying gnat the just keeps buzzing and buzzing and buzzing and never shutting the eff up. Remember the Pete Rose interview? Dude, we all know (and knew at that time) that Pete probably bet on baseball, but you're not getting the answer from Pete so move on already!
  14. Had a great time @ the jazz kitchen fri. night--love Fareed. Just waiting for Mark to post some pix! From what I saw peeking over his shoulder, he got some great shots. Joe just dropped me off @ the airport; I'm on my way to New Orleans for 4 days to attend the American Academy of Ophthalmology annual conference. Hopefully I'll have some time for fun and it won't be a 4 day geekfest... Anybody have any suggestions of where to go for good music that's not a tourist trap? To everyone who has tomorrow off, enjoy!!
  15. Happy Birthday Conn!! From Adam, Tony, and Bill... and me..
  16. Conn, we were honest in the past. The past speculation about piped in noise was just that: speculation. It was investigated and there was NO evidence of any manufactured noise in the AFC championship game just like there was no manufactured noise yesterday. You obviously have never attended a football game in a domed stadium. Please don't put us in the category of your coach where there was blatant, obvious evidence. About 500K worth of evidence. You may not like Polian; he may be a whiner to you (and probably to a lot of other people), but this "noisegate" is a total non issue that keeps rearing its ugly head due to paranoid freaks like Kraft those with a more "National Enquirer" mentality who try to make fact out of speculation. As far as "rules changes" go; no rules were changed. The enforcement of existing rules was.
  17. Well, no it wasn't, unless you want to consider the musings of an ESPN reporter that, "gee it's so loud I think they might be piping in fake noise" as something being "well documented." There weren't any fines (and we all know how they love to dole out the fines, doncha know), so it was all speculation by someone that was never proven.
  18. It was a great show; long overdue. It was a nice surprise to see Derrick Gardner in the house.
  19. Well, thank god for fake crowd noise, dirty refs, and the media, or this game would have been a blow out. Good thing we didn't have to rely on our defense to keep it a close game.
  20. Not because of Marvin, but only because we piped in extra crowd noise and paid off the refs.
  21. Pats fans who still think that it's just a big ol' conspiracy against them, even when they win... So, the fake crowd noise and the fact that we paid off the refs kept the game close? It couldn't possibly be our pass defense that kept your boys from 'running up the score', could it? As far as the cheating goes, man, let it go already. He knew the rule; he broke the rule. The Pats may want to send a message to teams in the NFL by running up the score, and hey that's their prerogative, but obviously that didn't happen tonight.
  22. yeah, but the green room is just off the stage. It's all good.
