  1. agreed. They're all good -- have them on LP -- but Tetterettet has the edge.
  2. in both scenarios, good musicians get caught up in bad shit.
  3. Gnarly. https://abcnews.go.com/US/drummer-grammy-winner-killed-domestic-violence-incident-bronx/story?id=63466000
  4. yes, I have it. There's a ton of wonderful material on there. The Trout Mask House Sessions are pretty fun. I have these on LP; my favorite is the third set, which is primarily 1972 and later, and titled "Grow Fins." The CD set adds about twenty minutes.
  5. Wasn't there a licensed RSD reissue of Trout Mask this year? I think it was just the two LPs as issued, but... at least it's something. Agreed about Lick My Decals Off. Great one and sadly quite obscure in comparison.
  6. The Family of Apostolic -- (Vanguard Apostolic, US)
  7. yeah, beautiful album. Now: Green On Red -- Gravity Talks -- (Slash, US)
  8. So sad to hear. Glad he got a reprieve in the last couple of decades. RIP.
  9. I have that one kicking around somewhere; can't recall very much about it, sadly.
  10. da bastids have a stereo copy of Jackpot for sale at $15 if anyone is looking: https://www.dustygroove.com/item/570290?sf=Dave+Brubeck&incl_oos=1&incl_cs=1&kwfilter=Dave+Brubeck&sort_order=artist
  11. not all DRUMZ are created equal, however... yeah, that one also uses melody to a great extent. "Bert The Cat" is amazing.
  12. Inspired by Shawn Dudley's instagram, Larry Coryell -- Lady Coryell -- (Vanguard Apostolic, US)
  13. Cool -- I have the first one on LP that Aketa did and it's relatively free. They are all quite rare, and I've not heard much else (save for the Seikatsu).
  14. man, that is really fine.
  15. Must be the hat.
  16. probably, yeah. I have heard that they are legitimate but I don't know what the sources are.
  17. I remember that CD being terribly mastered.
  18. yeah, it's not on the Dusty site yet but I'll keep my eye out.
  19. 11 LP Gearbox set? That is something else.
  20. I talked to him once -- he called me while I was at a pizza parlor shortly after the early 00's Marion Brown Quartet CD reissue came out on the then-recently-revived ESP. He was really nice. Love his tenor playing, and he loved Marion Brown.
  21. cool -- I now have the Japanese pressing on Columbia, which sounds a bit better than the French America pressing.
  22. That's great!
