  1. Thanks for the update, brownie. Dang.
  2. I caved and listened on NPR last night. It's really good.
  3. Waiting to hear the full monty until it comes out, but I'm looking forward to it.
  4. PM sent on two FMP CDs.
  5. Re: the boot, I probably won't pick it up if it sounds like crap.
  6. Tune into tonight's The Cutting Edge - KOOP 91.7 FM to hear a preview of next week's NMASS/Epistrophy Arts concert with The Thing + Joe McPhee!

  7. Okay, thanks.
  8. Yosuke Yamashita Trio - Chiasma - (MPS Japan)
  9. I know we're not linking boots/etc. so I won't do that here, but I am curious if anyone' s heard the 1971 Town Hall solo concert that's recently been put out on CD. Saw a used copy and was curious if it's worth picking up (therefore avoiding paying the bootleggers) or if the sound is abominable.
  10. Huh - I don't know Usselton at all! Now: Albert Mangelsdorff - Folk Mond & Flower Dream - (CBS Germany)
  11. Fair warning: tune in to The Cutting Edge - KOOP 91.7 FM tomorrow where in advance of Thursday's NMASS/Epistrophy Arts gig (The Thing w/ Joe McPhee) I'll be playing music by McPhee, Ingebrigt Håker Flaten and more!

  12. Clifford Thornton - Freedom and Unity - (Third World)
  13. Man, lucky dog on the Dwight Andrews. Still need that one for my New Haven racks and am curious to hear it.
  14. Mental health issues, from what I understand. I was dissuaded from trying to interview him by some of his former collaborators. Said he wasn't really together enough to talk. Too bad.
  15. Brackeen was homeless recently, I know that much. I wanted to connect with him but it seemed nearly impossible to do so.
  16. Service was excellent but I must confess that I wasn't too keen on this album by The Freestyle Band I bought from them. Have had the LP for years and it's a favorite. Different strokes for different folks.
  17. Looking forward to hearing this set, though I may have to wait to buy it until after I relocate in August. Glad it's a doozy, though I never had any doubt...
  18. Sweet, sounds like my kind of stuff!
  19. It's an excellent record. I have a Steve Lacy on VIK Italy, Disposability... though it may have been a budget LP when it came out in 1965, it sure isn't one now!
  20. Ah, okay, I just have the CD which lists him as Jackie McLean.
