  1. What's the condition of the John Young record on Argo? I noticed the description is for a different album.
  2. I see that Grooves-Inc supposedly has a couple of Eje Thelin CDs on Dragon that I was looking for. Anybody ever used this site? Legit?
  3. My aunt (also a guitarist but not a 'name') is friends with him. I'll check this out - thanks!
  4. J.R. Monterose & Tommy Flanagan - And a Little Pleasure - (Uptown) Beautiful and dangerous stuff.
  5. Lungfish - Sound in Time - (Dischord)
  6. They're both nuts. I liked some of Lurie's music and definitely thought he was an interesting actor.
  7. I think that might be my go-to as well, though Angel Eyes is probably the trio LP that I like the best.
  8. As an archivist, it is my hope & non-denominational prayer that this "memorabilia" goes into an institution for safe keeping and sharing with interested scholars and students. Perhaps Emory, Clark or Rutgers? And welcome, by the way!
  9. True art records... my girlfriend bought me the book recently, pretty fascinating stuff. Mingering Mike
  10. I have the original Columbia and Atlantic LPs of this material, and both have good sound so hopefully the CD follows suits.
  11. Black & Blue put these out and they were/are a French label.
  12. I didn't bid on it but there is a copy on Amazon for 10 bones.
  13. Haha forgot about this one. I too have it firmly ensconced in the Mosaic set.
  14. Yeah, that was a good disc. I saw that band live and it was unfortunately really stiff and irritating, however. Too bad.
  15. I suppose Heinrich Kuhn would have been using the Lumiere process... he was working in color around that time as well. Neat exhibition of his work at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston right now.
  16. Amon Duul - Disaster - (BASF)
  17. Huh. I'll have to try and find one of these.
  18. Manfred Schoof - Voices - (CBS Germany) his first LP, with Dudek, von Schlippenbach, Niebergall and Liebezeit
  19. Bill Dixon 7tette & The NY Contemporary Five - s/t - (Savoy orig)
  20. Agreed. The Painter is killer. I would like to own a copy of the K. Curtis Lyle.
  21. Gullotti was/is in The Fringe, right? That's a fine band that I need to revisit.
  22. Sorry, I said "Shawn" when I meant "Sonny" - the babe images are getting me confused.
