  1. Oh yeah, The Call rules. It's in the Krautrock/Embryo bag for sure.
  2. Wonder how the rumor got started?
  3. Cool - my favorite Patton! Does it have the groove catch on the last track of side one? Yeah, that defect is why I don't own it on vinyl.
  4. Wikipedia and the internet are reporting that Peter Falk has died. I really loved seeing Columbo reruns when I was a kid in the 1980s. I'll miss that trenchcoat and cigar. He was fantastic in "A Woman Under the Influence" as well. RIP.
  5. That press release grosses me out.
  6. Dang - hope he mends quickly!
  7. I'll let you know how this all works out verily.
  8. If worse comes to worst, we'll just have Hans buy them for us and we'll paypal him, right Durium?
  9. Pepper Adams - Live in Europe - (Impro/Sun)
  10. No clue. Good point about the intent. Fred Cohen's book gives release dates up into the 4200s.
  11. good deals on those Clean Feeds, nice records.
  12. Julian Priester - Love, Love - (ECM Germany)
  13. Thanks - gave that a shot as well, so we'll see.
  14. Of course, remember that BN catalog numbers weren't always issued in order.
  15. Nice job, brownie. The last NYC mono was Sweet Honey Bee. I've seen monos of The Real McCoy and Conquistador exactly once each.
  16. No worries about shipping, either.
  17. Their track record so far has been very strong.
  18. I've never heard of this Thomas Chapin recording--do you know if it is available or a hopeless obscurity? Just issued for the first time this year - totally killer. No Business website.
  19. I'd like to get that LP at some point. It sounds/looks interesting.
  20. I haven't gotten a response, but tried to fill out the order form as best I could and will see if they email me that way (since the only accepted payment is a checque in Euros).
  21. That is my point exactly. I won't do it unless it's done right, obviously.
  22. Thanks Chris. Yeah, I wouldn't mind some corroboration on the Navarro bit. Any other thoughts, especially on players in the modern/post-1950s idiom? I don't want to out people, obviously, but I want to show a range of musicians in the field who are part of the GLBT continuum as well. Too bad there's just not a lot of documentation, though I suppose in most if not all ways it's better that people be valued for their art rather than sexual preference.
  23. Nice. Got that one buried somewhere - must dig it out again. I like the Folkways "Bahamanian Guitar" LP too.
