  1. One of the latest 4 for £10 deal batch
  2. Bought that one when it came out on MPS BASF in the UK. Mid-70s, some years after the recording. Fine concert !
  3. I think it is ‘Coltrane’ and ‘Live at the Village Vanguard’ that are scheduled for AP reissue.
  4. I guess Analogue Productions are just starting to make up for lost time, with their new vinyl reissues. A couple of the early Impulse Coltranes are lined up for audiophile reissue I think.
  5. French Blue Note. Damon Albarn (that veteran jazzer) on piano !
  6. Great set ! That ‘New Continent’ is underrated - and in great sound. My Japanese King reissue came from the esteemed Hiroshi.
  7. Yes, that would make sense. Reminds me of catching McCoy Tyner there. One night with mid-sized group was just about the best gig I ever saw. Some years later with the Trio was so-so. Never saw Horace at Scott’s, alas. I was always out of town or doing other stuff when he was doing his annual week. The first time I saw Phil Woods with the group with Hal Crook and Jim McNeely (not in the UK) was pretty good.
  8. Now up in ‘New Arrivals’ with a picture on the site.
  9. I did the same capitulation today with an order from JazzMessengers. So what if we’ve got this material in ‘n’ versions already - it’s Mosaic, Malcolm Addey - and Joe !
  10. Sorry, I logged on there again.
  11. The Fresh Sound reissue with bonus tracks. Great sound - at least as good as my Time vinyl. Not my recollection at all, of Woody and co. at Scott’s. They were fantastic - and I was back the next night for a repeat. Might have been a different tour you witnessed though. On reflection, the group I saw was the later one with Turre and Mulgrew Miller. Remember chatting to people at those gigs who had flown in from the Continent to see it !
  12. But with weeks of shipping delays instead of a couple of days to the door. You pays your money and takes your choice..
  13. I guess they have been hit by increased shipping costs etc. from the US, not to mention pandemic complications. 107.42 Euro makes no sense - even assuming a sales tax reduction from 129.98 !
  14. The whole thing is probably a side effect of me forgetting their account password and having to reset it.
  15. I know inflation is taking off but that is ridiculous !
  16. I’ve just ordered it too. Special British price of $107.42 !
  17. It was a really great show, well worth burning the midnight oil for and the quality of the restoration was terrific. I have videos of all 3 of the shows I think. They were put out here by TCB Releasing/ Kay Jazz, based in Frome, Somerset - who were presumably the European distributors here in the UK mentioned in the commentary. These came out in the 1980s. Not bad quality but the new restorations are far superior. That Jazz Crusaders episode is a big improvement on a fantastic little performance.
  18. Sorry to hear that. Relatives of mine have had the two Pfizer jabs completed within the planned period (and one of these is Up North) so that doesn’t sound at all typical. Colleagues of mine who are eligible have also all had at least one jab and I’ve not heard any of them indicate problems, which I have to say is pretty remarkable. Booked online via the NHS site - as soon as I selected the date for the first shot they offered me a booking slot for the 2nd. Slots were offered by day and to a resolution of 10 min intervals.
  19. Have to say that our booking system, which is done nationally, seems to have worked very well. The whole thing on the day of jab 1 was extremely well organised and I have jab 2 booked.
  20. Sorry to hear that. Hang on in there. Over here, we are chomping at the bit. Longer journey outings allowable from next week. An enticing prospect after such a long local lockdown.
  21. This is sad news - she was excellent in ‘Play Misty For Me’, a performance that still sends the chills. Not only that but the film had great jazz with Cannonball A., Zawinul etc. May she rest in peace.
