‘We Want Miles’ has great vitality as a live release I find, sort of like ‘Agharta’. Teo Macero did a good job once more. Al Foster’s drumming and the way it is captured in the recording are big plusses as well.
Remember putting in an Amstrad radio/cassette player to the old Ford back in the day. It even had FM stereo. The height of sophistication back then (along with the vinyl roof !)
I transferred my Pathe Marconi Blue Notes onto cassette for use in that contraption.
No - I did see the larger group you mention but in N. America. The more recent, also over the pond, was just Bley/Swallow. Having said that, I have a feeling that I’ve also seen them with Sheppard, so that might have been more recent and over here.
