  1. Nice - one of his best.
  2. 2CD Complete edition. Considering it was recorded in 1957 -beyond phenomenal.
  3. I think I saw a 2nd hand copy of that one on CD in London recently - signed by Sheila. Kicking myself for not pickimg it up !
  4. Yes, Happy Birthday !
  5. $65 for a 2LP set? At that price I would expect it to be bound in ermine..
  6. Yep, have the book and the DVD. Just re-watched the DVD last night. Excellent stuff but my German is not quite sufficient to fully comprehend the interviews.
  7. Crippled Dick Hot Wax CD
  8. Fascinating ! About 25 years later I was in that very same room (I think) doing corporate equipment demos. Little did I know .. !
  9. One more hat in the ring on this one - unable to attend any viewings over here and really keen to get to see the film so very interested in any online streaming options.
  10. As an antidote to the 'other thread' - CD1. Still sounds good to me !
  11. Yep, got one of those too. Good one.
  12. I have all of the 32 Jazz Shaws I think, plus the Mosaic - and quite a number of them on Muse vinyl. The Mosaic is invariably 'first port of call' if I want to hear any of it, giving best overall playback quality. I hope that Clifford Jordan box comes back into circulation.
  13. Yep. It's a start though..
  14. This is the news I didn't want to hear. Hope they hang in there and ride it out - we all need to do our bit and put in some orders. Thanks for posting this, Hans. Looks like the Coltrane 'Sun Ship' vinyl is now OOP.
  15. Just ordered the Webb/Ella and Condon/Freeman sets from the Boys In Barcelona. Taking no chances.. Looks like there is free courier delivery too.
  16. With regard to suggestions - I would like to throw in Denny Zeitlin 'Shining Hour: Live at the Trident', which I think Mosaic planned to put out as a single some years back, with the additional takes. Sony would be the source unfortunately - but the music is damn good.
  17. Latest email from Mosaic says that the Brown/Roach 4LP set is now OOP as they don't plan on doing another repressing. That was a good set ! The Webb/Ella and Condon/Freeman are on my radar. The Woody Shaw Muse is a 'must have' IMO, for anyone interested in that material. Expensive couple of months ! Ditto..
  18. No mention in there of current whereabouts and whether or not active in the notes, that I can see.
  19. Coltrane 'Sun Ship' on vinyl now seems to have come from nowhere and gone straight into 'Last Chance' More like 'Stamford Chainsaw Massacre' ! Maybe the reason lots of these sets are running low is that Jazz Messengers et al have been doing some bulk purchases to re-stock?
