    A couple of the Blue Note Cover Series reissues. Andrew Hill 'One For One' and McCoy Tyner 'Cosmos' - with the common factor of both having tracks with string quartet. Not the greatest of pressings but fantastic music - must have about 15 or so of these. I think the only one of the twofers I don't have is the Sam Rivers.

    With the main Exeter/Penzance rail link now cut off, Cornwall must be feeling a bit isolated (or even more isolated) at the moment. That Dawlish coastal rail stretch on the pic has stood intact (until now) since 1840 ! The 'main act' still to come on Saturday as well..

    Shocking news - a considerable acting talent and tragically young. RIP - I remember reading once that as a youngster he used to do lifeguard stints in a private pool facility in NYC whilst Miles Davis was doing laps.

    It is proving extremely useful at the moment in sampling the Bobby Hackett Complete Capitol Mosaic for free as I pontificate on this one. Worth it's weight in gold.
