  1. BBC's 'Jazz Legends' is featuring his music this week - with fellow board member Tom Perchard doing the selections and critical commentary.
  2. Heck, I've got both of those 10" Lps. And the 12" Lexington. I guess that makes me a Horace fanatic.
  3. That would be copyright infringement and I don't think Mosaic or the authors of the booklets would be happy with that. Er - You didn't think I was being serious I hope? Not really, no; just thought I'd mention it More importantly, the guy in the car in front of you won't be happy when you slam into his rear end because you're too busy reading a Mosaic booklet on your dashboard satnav to notice that he just put on the brakes. Whilst trying to double check the sax lineup for the 'zz' tracks in the Maynard Ferguson set, perhaps?
  4. Looks like my 'Deluxe' box is in the mail from Amazon. If the tracker is right I should get hold of it this weekend. :rsmile:
  5. Have a good one !
  6. Happy Birthday !
  7. And not to forget that they are packed to the gunnels with salt too. That stuff is the hidden killer ! The one thing I do enjoy though is the occasional fish & chips. Delish ! Not to be eaten every day though.
  8. Those potato chips/crisps are the worst. And the way companies host machines full of them just to tempt you during the day. I caved in once this week but it was the first time in 5 years plus. Avoiding ready meals and cooking the stuff yourself is an affective strategy too. As is a salad binge during the Summer months.

  11. I have been there before with a lot of Mosaic sets. I decided that the Mosaic sets are for my lounge on my audiophile stereo whereas the Classics are for my car. Reading Mosaic booklets is not that easy on the motorway. You need an I-Pod with a car adapter cable Yves ! Now, is there any way of PDF-ing the booklets and displaying them on the dash or satnav?

  14. How about this one? There's a Jack Sheldon vocal track called 'Haunted Ballroom No. 2' which has a spooky sounding snippet of young Feldman aka 'Kid Krupa' in action on drums during the WW2 London Blitz era ! (and I'm assuming it might have been recorded in 'Feldmans' aka the 100 Club on Oxford St). Have the LP and I'll probably pop it on deck on the 31st. Another Halloween offering on Concord is Monty Budwig's sleeve cover for 'Dig'.
  15. Felicity Kendall :rsmile: Kenneth Kendall Reginald Bosanquet
  16. 'Teo's Bag' is on 'The Collector' but not 'Etcetera', Clifford. At least on the LPs. 'Teo's Bag' turns up on that 6CD Herbie Hancock box as well I think.
  17. Happy Birthday, Guy !
  18. Sadly, I don't think they are this time round but will look out for them.
  19. His last prediction was England to host World Cup 2018. Could he be right? Can't believe that the Germans have created a book of condolences for him. Unreal !
  20. Yes, Best Wishes !
  21. Yes. There are also inklings of that minimalist and very impressionistic approach on the 'Etcetera' quartet session and the rest of the material issued by King Records as 'The Collector'.
  22. Her profile seems to have fallen of late. Ingrid Laubrock is back on tour in the UK next month with a new band - 'Catatumbo' I meant Monica. Ingrid seems hyper-active on the recording front of late! Woops ! Agree - must be that German work ethic.

  25. Big fan of the 'Frankly Jazz' shows here. They came out many years ago over here on VHS from TCB Films - I used to find them for sale second hand in the likes of Mole Jazz.
