  4. That's the nearest I've got to there. A unique experience, for sure. Agree re: the challenge of the humidity. Only be getting the fenicular railway to the peak did it subside. No wonder house prices there go up the higher up the peak you go !

I didn't catch any of the Ronnies performances (not sure why - maybe it was heavily booked up?) but I did catch the performance during this stint at RFH as part of the Capitol Jazz Fest 'Bird' Tribute. I agree, he was in excellent form! It was due to be held in the Ally Pally but it burnt half way through the Fest due to a fire under the organ so was rescheduled last minute to the RFH !

  21. Very fond memories of the Brass Fantasy. Saw him just the once but it was a great night. The late Philip Wilson was on stage that evening too. Two musicians who are very much missed !
