Just want to note that the stars on the walk of fame are purchased by the stars themselves. It's not some honor bestowed upon them by the city. Sort of takes the luster off it, doesn't it? Ahhh. Thanks for the information.

Love the milky taste of pine and cashew nuts. Macadamias, brazil nuts, almonds are fine by me. Love walnuts too but those sold in stores are very frequently mouldy. Eat them all raw and straight from the freezer. I'd add coconuts to the list but that's not a nut.

These guys are offering the set for $61 and a bit, as at 22/3/07. Not sure if it's a good deal and prices could change dramatically a few days later. I'm tempted to order it but will resist.

Roland Kirk Atlantics/Warner. The Collectables reissues are generally a bit wanting. Fletcher Henderson - Decca/Columbia/Victor - the whole lot. Will contain some duplicates with the Mosaic Chu Berry but never mind. Further improved transfers of the complete recordings of King Oliver's Creole Jazz Band!

Yeah! Dig all those.... McGriff's uptempo version of Stella By Starlight is a killer on The Main Squeeze. Also, one of my all time favorite of the McGriff/Sonny Lester teamups is his "I've Got A NEW Woman" The songs are short, but tight and full of fire. And the sound of the organ is killer on that one. Fly Dude is just one of his best albums period! Fly Dude just arrived in the mail...

Up The sixth season is into the second voting round before final 12. One thing strikes me - This Idol show must carry a lot of weight. 3 contestants (2 Idol winners) have won "big" awards recently - 2 won grammies and another an oscar winner. The host Ryan Seacrest has also gotten his name on the Hollywood walk of fame....

Got it over a year ago and haven't listened to a single disc. Gonna have a Condon Mob listening marathon this weekend.
