  1. Well, at least it was an honest answer.
  2. I think you're probably right. Could I spend about three months in the vaults though to verify?
  3. Well, I think they're walking the line. They offer the music and an undersized cover . . . They figure if you don't like that you'll track down an import or OOP cd. . .
  4. I'm so glad it made it there safely!
  5. Whew it's a relief that there's nothing wrong with that. . . I want to hear it too!
  6. Actually seems to me that Verve is utilizing also items recently remastered and released in Japan (the Basies and a few others). . . . Interesting! Waste not want not!
  7. Pretty sure it is mp3. I have burned one item from iTunes, "Phenix" by Cannonball, and it sounds very good.
  8. Thanks for the headsup, some nice additions. I could spend a hundred bucks easy! (I can't but I could!)
  9. A bit of this material came out on cd in Japan last year. Some of us got these and now are facing the prospect of getting a Mosaic! Haven't they heard the song "Don't be cruel to a heart that's true?"
  10. Me too. Not even Japan has been doing much with Savoy stuff of late that I know of. DANG!
  11. I guess I could have more clearly said "Still to come" as I know of no plans to release more of the material, but really want more of the Savoy out on cd. In time, I hope. I have lps . . . some a little worn.

  13. From Impulse there is at the least: A Flat, G Flat and C Jazz From Around the World There are several Savoy titles to come out as well (I'm actually more looking for these on cd, I like the Savoys a hair better).
  14. Hope all is well, Mr. C! Thanks for being back even if just for a mo'!
  15. I did indeed order a dvd of 2046, a two dvd edition.
  16. Only better!
  17. Yes, and not to mention the Mercer cult and the mood organs and the alternate police station etc. not in the film. . . .
  18. A lot of fun and understanding can come from listening to the recreations I think. I agree the originals are important. I wish Jim luck on his quest.
  19. Wow, very good news on the Roach! The McDaniels may be interesting as well. . . .

Inventions and Dimensions is really my favorite, but Speak Like a Child is right on its heels.
  21. You're right about Androids, a closer adaptation of the book would have made quite a different movie! Here's a thread about the upcoming Scanner movie: http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=17970
  22. Oh, I've faced it. I've even embraced it!
