  1. I guess I am the one who misinterpreted. I don't follow Braxton, only a few of his things interest me, didn't know there was a Tristano set.
  2. Lots of impressions etc. on this thread starting about this page:
  3. Keith Jarrett “Concerts” ECM 3LP set, Record 1
  4. Actually Dan pointed out the Newport release in the 9th post in this thread.
  5. Jack Teagarden “Accent on Trombone” Urania LP 600×600 92.8 KB This is not a typical Teagarden group and it has a special sound and vibe. Love it! I love the sound of 'fifties jazz LPs. Bass – Milt Hinton Clarinet – Sol Yaged Drums – Denzil Best Guitar – Sidney Gross Piano – Kenny Kersey Tenor Saxophone – Lucky Thompson Trombone – Jack Teagarden Trumpet – Ruby Braff
  6. Joanne Brackeen “Pink Elephant Magic” Joanne Brackeen – piano Nicholas Payton – trumpet Dave Liebman – soprano saxophone Chris Potter – tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone John Patitucci – bass Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez – drums Jamey Haddad – percussion Kurt Elling – vocals
  7. “Duke Ellington presents Ivie Anderson” 2 LP Columbia set, LP 2
  8. I ordered this from amazon.
  9. I think the Silver on Pablo is legit, probably something to do with contractual matters Granz set up for rights to the concert material, as there are others such as the Cannonball, Duke, Mulligan et al that are out on Pablo where artists were not signed to a Granz label.
  10. Miles Davis “Bitches Brew” Legacy 2 cd and 1 DVD edition. I’m listening to disc 2, the alternate and single version tracks. FOLLOWED BY 599×597 86.1 KB “The Amazing Nina Simone” – her seconed album, her first on Colpix, from the new box set of her Colpix albums. 600×600 59.1 KB
  11. I have that box set! A good one. Also have the 1938 and 1939 double LPs and maybe the 1940, and a Jump for Joy from Smithsonian.
  12. That series of 'N releases has been out recently enough from Japan on cd.
  13. Actually I believe that though the cds may be available used, the Silver, Henderson, Hubbard and Clark cds are not in print in the States. Look at the Blue Note store--Lps, yes, cds, nope.
  14. Aventure Music Piano Masters Vol. 1 “Benjamin Taubkin” cd All four volumes in this series are amazing. This one sounds so good this cool morning.
  15. They did put out a retrospective box. https://www.discogs.com/release/4833614-Horace-Silver-Retrospective And I differ in that I do not think there is much unissued to release.
  16. Joe Locke & Four Walls of Freedom “Dear Life” I have two from this grouping (I think that’s all there is) and they are both excellent. 800×805 134 KB 1064×800 110 KB
  17. Yes, same artist.
  18. Joe Henderson “Straight, No Chaser” Verve cd A Left Bank Jazz Society recording.
  19. Miles Davis “Big Fun” (my original 2 LP set bought when first released). 1280×720 164 KB
  20. Jean-Michel Proust “To Barney Wilen Vol. 1” Fremeaux cd A great tribute from this French saxophonist, in exquisite sound. I do as well. Favorites will be played in differing formats, sometimes on different systems.
