    John R.T. Davies

Ted Kendall was an engineer associated with Davies who is continuing to produce similar stellar remastering results.
  5. I might have missed an incident that provoked this thread. . . but that's okay. It's unreasonable to expect we'll all act reasonably, but more than on any other board, most of manage to do so most of the time. And anyone of us can, and have perhaps, written "internetishly" and shouldn't have. These personal attacks even filter into discussions about opinions on music! They just can't be helped I think, but they're well-handled here in comparison to other sites. Try talking about Obama's "hope" on a Harley Davidson site! You'll see all but cyber lynchings. It's easy to side-step many of these confrontations, just as if you look where you're going you can sidestep many cow patties. This a great community, and we can and I think we will try harder to see less of this behavior.
  6. Dutch Jazz Orchestra Plays the Music of Rob Madna. Great set, cheap.
  7. Perhaps Shawn or Allen Lowe could help, these are fine engineers? Anyway, best of luck, and welcome.
  8. I'm not surprised. Circuit City is no great loss. But man. . . things are bad.
  9. It's more accurate to say "I really wish Verve had not let it go out of print." They put it out on two cds. This is probably a "borrowing" of that release.
  10. Well, I prefer Eliot to Seuss!
  11. Alias, Season 4, disc 3
  12. I never shopped there much he said He felt that he would rather be dead And yet the irony you see What has died is the City.
  13. What radio am I listening to now? The one in the bedroom. It's the only one in the house! An alarm clock.
  14. These may be out of print but are worth the effort to find.
  15. I received that email notice from Worlds as well!
  16. I don't like eggs. Don't tell my wife. T. S. Eliot
  17. I'll bet it would surprise you. Doesn't seem like a "ridiculous mismatch" to me. Three original front line voices, spurring each other on . . . . I'd buy it.
  18. Knowing jazzhound, he was talking lps. . . not cds.
  19. As far as I can tell, you're missing only the DVD and book.
  20. Yeah, I hope they return. They do have the Cash box set which is not a budget item. . . .
  21. The man needs longer pants! That's just the effect of Peggy's singing. Oh . . . I get it.
  22. Yes. I'm glad I bought mine. . . I really like the updated sound, especially updated for me on the second disc. Haven't yet read the award winning liners.
