In 1975, the great Rory Gallagher was touring the US as the opening act for Bachman-Turner Overdrive. I didn't see the show, but I've seen Rory's Montreux Festival performance from 1975 on DVD. How those hacks from BTO followed that, I'll never know. Gallagher's Irish Tour '74 DVD (and CD) is also not to be missed. What a monster musician he was, one of THE great guitar players, from such an early age (what was he, 20 when the first Taste albums came out?). Hard to believe he passed so young. Bob Brookmeyer fans should be interested in this one, I have it and was quite impressed with it especially "The Blues Hot And Cold", very nice stuff indeed. That's obscene. And I think it's 6 CDs. What's on that Mosaic? I thought it was just the Black & White and Capitol material, which is just a 3 CD set. MG It has the Rhumboogie and Imperial recordings as well.

Just as an FYI to anyone who may be on the fence on the Farlow or the Basie, the Universal Mosaics are only going cheap as I got them cheap, there is nothing wrong with them at all, they're the exact same as the "Mosaic" Mosaic's except for the lack of the individual numbers that the "Mosaic" Mosaic's have on the inside of the booklets. That probably doesn't make things any clearer. :unsure: :blush:
