  1. I take it this is the one you're talking about; There are some preview clips here.
  2. Ouch!!!, I thought it would be more like 10%-15%, 25% is too much IMHO. BTW, thanks for putting me off ebay for life. :lol:
  3. Really?, how much are we talking, either in % or in $ of your total sales.
  4. I have to say I would be very interested to find out what your "actual" profits will be, after all the deductions and fees, not to mention the time you have put into the whole thing. Has it been worth it so far?
  5. That is kinda fucked, the more I am learning about the whole Ebay/Paypal thing, and although I have been tempted, the more I'm glad I've never got involved with it.
  6. I paid a fair bit of cash to buy both of those in 24bit mini-lp format, needless to say I don't regret it, they're real treasures, should be in everyones collection etc, etc.
  7. It's quite strange that they never issued this one on CD, similar to the Hill "Big" Mosaic set, where everything but the last quartet date with Rivers has been issued on CD. You must've gotten beaten up an awful lot in high school! I reckon he'd get beaten up a lot more now, if he ever left the house that is.
  8. Thank God !!!!!!!!!!!, finally there is some debate on this site about the whole Fresh Sound/Lone Hill/Spanish/Andorran/50-year copyright/bootleg thing. This important issue has been ignored on this stie for far to long.
  9. I've gotten quite a few of the Fresh Sound and Lone Hill releases recently but this one below stands out, it's very good. The Sax Section - Jazz Workshop: Al Cohn. Three really nice groups playing lovely swinging tunes, especially liked the Clarinet work on four of the tunes. :tup :tup
  10. Up for some additions and a price reduction, cheers.
  11. I can highly recommend this 3 disc compilation, well worth picking up if you see it. And for absolutely no reason at all, a fantastic picture of Ben by Herman Leonard, one of my favorites.
  12. That finger was actually directed at a T.V. crew that were filming the gig. That picture of Ben is really great. :tup
  13. Let's all hope and pray that it does actually end this time, even though it will still be repeated ad nauseam, hopefully to the point where people will eventually realise that it wasn't all that good to begin with. Are they good things to admit to in public???
  14. The same material is also on this one from Lone Hill;
  15. Strange that no one in the U.K./Ireland would try and bring him over for a gig or two. Is he very expensive?
  16. That's a Proper (U.K.) set; the Jackson/Thompson Savoy material on that one was not licensed. Just thought I'd mention it BEWARE " Come Rain or Shine "is omitted as well as Thompson's ballad feature "Whats New" . Proper claims they will correct these problems sometime. As I mentioned in my post "there is also quite a bit of the Milt Jackson/Lucky Thompson Savoy material", never said it was complete, I also posted "I think there is one tune missing and they also have one tune on twice by mistake". I never knew Proper had issues with infringing on copyrights J.A.W., thanks for that news flash, your finger is most defintely on the pulse there. :rolleyes: Ah, the usual sarcasm from our friend in Ireland. How nice. By the way, that "beware" part was posted by Bill B, not by me; somehow it ended up in my post that was quoted by Bill. :rcry

  18. There is also quite a bit of the Milt Jackson/Lucky Thompson Savoy material on this; But I think there is one tune missing and they also have one tune on twice by mistake, at least they do on mine anyway.
  19. That's wild, I just happened to be on the Mosaic site late last night and the Curtis Amy and Bennie Green Selects were there as well as the Farlow. :crazy:
  20. I saw these recently and I am quite curious, are the worth getting? Opinions appreciated. Bob Brookmeyer: Portrait of the Artist/Jazz Is a Kick. Sonny Stitt: Plays Jimmy Giuffre Arrangements/A Little Bit of Stitt.(I think so anyway)
  21. I was going to post this somewhere else but as it's mentioned here and in another Konitz/Solal thread I thought I'd just plant it here. It looks like somebody has gotten around to getting this on CD. I saw it in Tower here the other day, I think I'll have to pick it up. I take it it's up there with "Star Eyes" ? Duplicity.
