Does the Stereo set have the little docs on the end of each disc???
-
I know this part of the Board is called "Miscellaneous - Non-Political", but Jesus Fuckin Christ, American Idol???
-
Sounds like I might be spending money I don't really have on something I don't really need but would knda like. The Mono box is €250 in HMV over here and Tower have it for €270, I think. Nice review of the Mono Box from AMG; The Beatles: Mono Box Set
-
That's about the size of it all right.
-
I'd like to hear more about the Mono box, are the mixes really that different/worth it. I've never heard any of them.

Not anymore he doesn't. I was selling stuff I can do without for a while or that I have in other forms and the Pepper fell into this category, I would have bought it again before it went OOP, but since it has just disappeared of the face of the planet at the flick of a switch(maybe literally), I think I will hold on to it. This really does suck big things, but as they say shit happens.

That is probably the biggest crock of shit Microsoft has ever come up with, none of their products are ever really backward compatible. I'm sticking with XP though, better the devil you know. -

I doubt if Gaël Kakuta worth it. Well he's not worth it now anyway, that's for sure but all the big clubs do this kind of thing and get away with it. I will be very suprised if this actually sticks, Chelski will appeal and probably get a fine and a warning or something like that. -
Third and Final Coltrane Prestige Box

Thanks for the link but the blurb doesn't give all that much info, ie like they did here for "Interplay", what are the specific albums contained other than the Garland and the Dameron, for people like me too lazy to look them up. :tophat: "Mal-2" by Mal Waldron "Informal Jazz" by Elmo Hope (in yurp part of the not-quite-twofer "All Star Sessions") the Ammons titles I mentioned above and one by Ray Draper, which I forgot (two tracks of that one were previously available as bonus tracks on another "The Believer", which is on the "Fearless Leader") Thanks for that, but it looks like I'll pass on this one for the same reason I passed on "Interplay", I have most of it already on single discs. I have "Fearless Leader" though and it is a really well put together set and I presume that "Interplay" and "Side-Steps" are/will be of a similar high quality. -

Wow, an amazingly bad development for Chelski. Chelsea banned by Fifa from signing players till 2011 over Gaël Kakuta Could be a good thing in the long run though, for everybody else that is. -

I think you'll be getting the "Honey Monster". Richard Dunne is the Honey Monster; Seriously though he's a good player, I wish he was the Irish Captain rather than that tosser Robbie Keane. -
The Complete H.R.S. Sessions.

My Complete H.R.S. Sessions set arrived this morning, I only had a quick look through the booklet so far but it looks good. Nice to see pictures of someone working in a record shop wearing a suit and tie. :D -

Transfer deadline day has been a bit, well shit, hasn't it. No last minute biggies really. :w -
You're not joking about the skyrocketing, check it out, £179.39 + £1.21shipping. That's a good bit more than the €7 I paid for it.

Great minds think a like and all that, only I didn't give mine away. -
It's taken me a long, long time to get this, but I am enjoying it in spite of my general indifference to Evans, although it's fair to say this one is almost as much about La Faro as Evans. Maybe it's hearing all of it one go in amazing sound quality has something to do with it as I had this one below and it didn't leave that much of an impression. The new liners on the Box Set are fairly shit, but no suprise there as it's Keepnews doing them.

In the Milan derby technically they're both the home side as they share the same stadium but I know what you mean, but I hope that was a joke about Beckam. :g I only saw the highlights of the MU-Arsenal game and it looks like United got away with it a bit, slightly dodgy penalty and an own goal. Watched Bolton v Liverpool, it was ugly but a win is a win, Liverpool had a bit more piss and vineagar about them which was good to see, but they still conceeded 2 soft goals. -

Yes, I'm quite happy that Liverpool have a decent group, not too easy and not too hard, ( I hope!!! ) and it was nice to see Man U get a difficult group for a change. Whoever is playing them in the EPL after the away trips to CSKA Moscow and Besiktas has a good chance of causing them an upset. All in all they look like some very interesting ties. -

I don't think you get into the CL via the Uefa Cup, unless I'm very much mistaken, and if I was a Villa fan I wouldn't be too upset about going out of the Europa League. Have you seen how many games you have to play to get to the Final ??? I don't think O'Neill was that sad about it either, he knows that squad isn't big enough to compete on 4 fronts. It might mean they could have a good run in the domestic cups instead. -

In a way I'm kind of glad this one went to "Running Low" status as it forced me to order it and to use a Mosaic gift card that I had stashed and kept meaning to use. It should be here next week sometime. -

I have the Lone Hill set, I don't know why but it never really did that much for me, IMHO it's enjoyable but not really essential, common or garden Hard Bop. :D
