  1. But it's really good. I just relistened to it and I really liked what I heard.
  2. I have it: lots of alternates. Mostly.
  3. Sad to hear this. I liked his Round Midnight album and also the Kenton presents.
  4. I too use a Fender Blues Jr. It has a nice valve sound and performs quite well. It's only 15 W.
  5. This sounds promising. Although I already own a lot of Savoy reissues I may jump on that one. Will have to look for duplications.
  6. Same here. I have the Prestige K2 box. Very recommended.
  7. I have the Miles and it sounds very well. But I don't think the series is that new. It must have been around for years.
  8. I got this new the other day, although it's already sold out at Mosaic. Very good. I like piano trios but also, and even better, piano, guitar, bass, as is the case in most of these sessions with the great Barney Kessel.
  9. A superb set by one fo the best Ellington bands.
  10. I read it too and I remember the description of his time in Japan or Corea (scoring with the prostitutes) as being particularly catching and honest.
  11. I have always disliked Benny Goodman because of his king of swing title, which I think he was not. But I gotta admit he was a hell of a clarinet player.
  12. Remeber them as a good group, although I don't remember albums. Maybe Gentlemen take Polaroids and Tin Drum. And I also remember fondly Mick Karn's side project Dali's Car.
  13. Yes, that's true. Fully agree.
  14. This is one of my all time favorite albums.
  15. A wonderful compilation, though it's only a 2 CD set.
  16. Thanks for your kind words. It's true that Sheena Easton worked with Prince, but I meant musicians of his band, not added vocalists.
  17. Sorry, but I meant Sheila E.
  18. The cross. Just heard it.
  19. I liked how he used girl musicians like Wendy and Lisa or Sheila E.
  20. Dics VI and VII. The prebop sessions of the early 40s.
  21. I liked him a lot when I was young. Around the time of Purple Rain and Sign O The Times.
  22. A reissue like I would like to see more. Intact with its David Stone Martin covers.
