  4. Clock still messed up, right?
  5. Don't even JOKE about it.
  6. Yeah, clock off here, too.........by 6 hours. Glad it's not just me.
  7. HA! Fat chance.
  8. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.
  9. Doesn't seem to be working too well today. It's not just ME, is it?
  10. Be sure to give us your picks, BFrank! Oh, great......put me on the spot, will ya' ! I don't really know about most of this stuff. But after a first run-through of board suggestions, and random sampling I started an eMusic list of things that look most promising. Check it out, if you're interested.
  11. There's an amazing variety of music on Tzadik. I'm having an entertaining time just listening to clips of all the music I've never heard of.
  12. Holy CRAP! That's INSANE! There was an interesting piece on NPR recently about Zorn and the Masada songbook. He's interviewed as well as members of the band, Rashanim, who are listed under Jon Madof's name. I'll definitely be downloading some of those Masada albums as well as "Naked City Live".
  13. I just started listening to Fahey, too. eMusic has a pretty good selection and I downloaded "Transfiguration of Blind Joe Death" and "God, Time and Causality". Fascinating music. I never gave him a chance before, but the variety of music he pours into his songs is astounding. I'm thinking I will next get "Legend of Blind Joe Death", "Dance of Death & Other Plantation Favorites" and "Live in Tasmania". I was a Loe Kottke fan ... WAY back. Started with "Mudlark" and picked up most of his Capitol albums through "Chewing Pine". Started slowing down on him when he switched to Chrysalis. Haven't listened to any of them in a long time, but great stuff.
  14. Hey........that IS cool.
  15. The new colors are happenin'
  16. FWIW, Leo Records is still there. I don't know about specific Braxton albums, though.
  17. I know it's ULTRA-tourist-y, but I still like Carnegie Deli. Second Avenue Deli is excellent, too.
  18. Everyone see Rob Courddry from the Daily Show on this past week's episode as the sexual offender neighbor? This was one of the better shows in an otherwise (unfortunately) weak season.
  19. From Bob Einstein's web site (w/his brothers)
  20. Cazzie Russell Bill Russell (basketball) Bill Russell (baseball)
  21. Mork Mindy D Boon
  22. Kenesaw Mountain Landis John Landis Harold Land
  23. Heard some good things about "East/West" and ordered it today from BMG ... cheap. Anyone else like it?
  24. Oy. Yet ANOTHER Hutcherson album I guess I'll have to get. I've got some catching up to do with Bobby. ← Good luck finding it. I had to pay something pretty (and that's a lot for a young cat). Worth it, though (it's basically the Medina/Spiral band w/J. Spaulding in place of Harold Land). ← Hmmmmmmmm. Well, there's one on ebay now for $14.49 + $6 shipping from Japan. I'll keep an eye on it.
  25. Oy. Yet ANOTHER Hutcherson album I guess I'll have to get. I've got some catching up to do with Bobby.
