  1. Each of the 4 shows in this set include a version of Machine Gun. All amazing, and all different from each other. This is an essential box.
  2. I'll listen to just about anything with Tyshawn. I've seen him quite a few times, too.
  3. Not unlike wondering what Jimi would have done. SO much speculation, but we'll never know.
  4. Good choice! Saw them at Big Ears this year. VERY intense! Now playing ...
  5. YIKES! Those, and the heat, and the haboobs and ... WOW!
  6. Is that because of the heat in your region? 😆
  7. Got mine today. Very excited to see 2 photos and one track (Doktor Pitt) from April 12, 1981 at the Great American Music Hall in SF. I was there👍
  8. Those guys have a good show. The problem for me is that they’re very vinyl-focused and I don’t buy vinyl any more.
  9. Sound & Gravity Festival Interesting festival coming up next month. Very much in the Big Ears mold - small venues, multiple nights, etc. It's their first go-around so it's relatively small and MUCH cheaper, but many of the "usual suspects" you might see in Knoxville will be performing. I'm going to go to one night since I had planned to be in Chicago anyway.
  10. Haven't dug into the music yet. Looks like some good live recordings of this band. Also lots of alt takes and demos (maybe too many, but that's OK)
  11. Of course, whatever they announce on that day is extremely preliminary. They will continue to add on until showtime.
  12. I still have vinyl OGs of Moontrane and Night of the Mark VII. My LPs have been boxed up for years, but I was going through some of them last year and was amazed to find that these 2 were valued on Discogs at $100-200 each. Yes! Absolutely! Ha Ha! This would be a great album for them to reissue, too. I have it on vinyl and also the ugly 32 Jazz CD
  13. The NYT obit was pretty eye-opening for me. I didn't know a lot about her early life. She was definitely a survivor! I was fortunate to see her in 2019 at SFJAZZ in their small Joe Henderson Lab space with Cameron Brown. A wonderful show. Sheila Jordan, Fearless Vocal Improviser, Is Dead at 96
  14. Great front line. Will definitely stream it, and if it's as good as it appears to be will probably by the CD, too.
  15. When Zev released this announcement on FB today I asked him if there would be corresponding CDs for this project. His response: "... this is an analog LP series. As of now exclusive to vinyl. Thanks for your support." Fortunately I have a number of Muse albums on CD - including some of the ugly 32 Jazz releases and Woody Shaw's Muse Mosaic box. Still have some good vinyl too, but my LPs are in storage.
  16. I just checked his website again. It's available and I ordered it. They must have received a LOT of requests.
  17. This is my only vintage Mono BN, and surprised that it's not on the list
  18. Yes! That's the one!
