  1. Got my confirmation email, too! Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!
  2. Could you please tell what the defect was? I just pulled the trigger on this set; I think I got one of THE last remaining copies...
  3. Too late, bud. There's blood all over yer hands!
  4. SS1's post above made me cave in! I called 2 minutes ago and was told they had a couple left so I ordered the Morgan/Shorter. They said I should have it by the end of the week. I can now place my Blue Moon copies of Introducing & Second Genesis into my "For Sale" pile. At least I had to willpower to pass up the Kelly/Chambers set. Hopefully I won't regret it, too much. -_-
  5. email sent re: Quebec McLean Thanks!
  6. This has turned out quite bizarre!
  7. That Soulstation1, he never filters anything! And that's what we like about him. That took guts, dude. B)

    Elvin is dead

Geez, I received my Elvin Mosaic set ON Tuesday. I didn't know he died until late that night. Weird coincidence. Totally deflated me...I think I'll always remember the day I got this set. I've been listening the last couple days. This music is just so wonderful... I'll always remember Elvin's infectious smile! B)
  9. AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not that picture!!! No worries; I already got mine.
  10. "I never even auditioned!" Wow, did not know that. Never woulda thunk it... ---------------- Gravelly, scratchy, whispering Miles' voice: "C'mere boy! I wanna stick my dick in yo' ass" ----------------- This is blowing my mind! But, I could really care less... -_-
  11. Don't say stuff like this!!! I need help resisting upgrades...
  12. PM send regarding the MJQ! B)
  13. I was naughty... -_- I stopped by Borders last night. Man, there's just nobody around to help you there. Where are the SACDs? Where are the DVD-As? Anyone? I took advantage of that buy 3 get one free jazz cds sale. 1. G. Green-Going West 2. D. Byrd-Free Form 3. C. Taylor-Conquistador! 4. B. Evans-You Must Believe In Spring $37. Not too bad. The Taylor's tray had a crack that made the spindle not grip the disc. (I opened them all in the car.) I went back in and they replaced the tray. I was considering the new Diana Krall disc, but they didn't have any copies on SACD, only the cd. On first listen, that Byrd set sounds awesome! B)
  14. This is good news, as it will be awhile before I can shell out for this one. But sure don't want to miss out on it. B)
  15. PM coming on Art Pepper!
  16. Wow, I'll have to spin this one again. I have the Japanese mini-lp. I seem to recall this one always puts me to sleep...
  17. Jazz Moose beat me to it! I don't know if it was fun to record, but it sure is fun to listen to "Welcome To The Party" by our own Mr. Sangry's Quartet Out. It's just a friggin' blast!
  18. ROTFLMAO!!! I knew there was a reason I hang out around this place...
  19. Actually, I haven't smoked anything in years, but I still love that track. Well, I did everything possible to encourage this, short of mailing a "lid"! ( Does the term "lid" hopelessly date me? It's sooooo Seventies! )
  20. Way to go Mr. & Mrs. B-3'er! She's beautiful! Great pic. I wish you guy's all the happiness in the world!
  21. The catalog numbers seem old...
  22. Oh yeah: I don't care for "You Know My Name..." Now that's just TOO stoned!
  23. Okay, I'll stop...
