  1. Funny this popped up yesterday. I "found" my copy last night while organizing the music room. I thought it might have been out on permanent loan but it was nice to see it on the shelves again... even w/o liner notes.
  2. Its a long shot, but I'm looking for "The Legendary João Gilberto: The Original Bossa Nova Recordings (1958–1961)" PM if you have a copy for sale / trade. Thanks!
  3. All St. Louis Best Buys received a single stereo box this morning. Check bestbuy.com for availability in your area. That's what I was told today when I picked up my box :-) Now, if that mono box comes in next month then this copy goes back to BB...
  4. Woohoo - Ship acks from both Alibris vendors. The Brookmeyer and Sheldon from Amazon are on their way too.
  5. Both well worth waiting for! Agree. Both are terrific dates. I hope they come through for you! Lookin' good so far. Both orders acknowledged and one seller even sent a shipment notification. Should know soon!
  6. Change of pace from 2008 - Marianne Faithful's "Easy Come, Easy Go" subtitled "18 Songs For Music Lovers."
  7. Grant Green - Born To Be Blue, an "original" US DMM copy
  8. Deep Groovin' to Jack McDuff - Goodnight, It's Time to Go - on Prestige. Great stuff with Jack, Grant Green & Harold Vick. I'm not familiar with the drummer, Joseph Thomas.
  9. Seeing that I usually have breakfast while sitting in morning gridlock, yes... via the iPod. Usually the "Recently Added" or "My Highest Rated" playlists. If I had a newer iPod touch I'd give the "Genius" playlists a try.
  10. Chris Stamey & Peter Holsapple - Euclid Records In-store 45 (includes great letterpress print) Stamey / Holsapple Single
  11. The Jayhawks - Hollywood Town Hall
  12. Another questionable online purchase: The Complete Emarcy Recordings of Clifford Brown Box Set. Questionable b/c of the price... $76 shipped. Stock photo, no "real" pics of the actual box for sale. Guess I'll find out when it arrives. I've been looking for this for years and actually passed on a used copy at the Atlanta Tower a few years back.
  13. Ordered the Cy Touff and Bill Perkins titles from the West Coast Classics series today. We'll see if they actually show up...
  14. Richard Groove Holmes - After Hours Chico Hamilton with Eric Dolphy - The Original Ellington Suite XTC - Skylarking the db's - Ride the Wild TomTom
  15. I'm in Atlanta this week actually and did my record store crawl on Wednesday night. I was at Wuxtry... wish I had known about Records Galore since I was already out East (I stay in Vinings). Ah well, I'll be back next month.
  16. Would that be Full Moon in Candler Park? I travel to Atlanta frequently and hit Full Moon, Wuxtry, Criminal and Wax 'n' Facts while in town. St. Louis has two biggies: Euclid Records and Vintage Vinyl. Euclid has an ungodly selection of Jazz... the primo stuff at ungodly prices. Vintage usually has a few gems tucked away at reasonable prices. Record Exchange is also huge but the selection feels like all the records that Euclid and Vintage didn't want. There are a ton of mostly CD shops as well.
  17. I used the Expedit for years until I upgraded to the Bonde. The smaller Expedits should be ok for a "mobile" solution, the larger 4x4 and 5x5 units probably shouldn't be wheeled about.
  18. Ron Jefferson - Love Lifted Me. New to me in nice shape. Earl Anderza - Outa Site. I have the West Coast Classics CD but the LP called out to me.
  19. Check out this link: Robert May BN Labelography. I have 70's reissues with RVG, VAN GELDER, and withouth either.
  20. Ron Jefferson - Love Lifted Me
  21. Couple of CD's over lunch Grant Green - Street of Dreams Grant Green - Matador
  22. I may pick these up for grins. So glad I picked up their BN catalog a couple of years ago via various Japanese issues. Actually had a Three Sounds iPod session on the flight this afternoon. Its been hashed out hre before, but I still can't believe / understand the lack of titles available from their catalog.
  23. Thanks for the info. Looks like Amazon US is giving a hefty discount on pre-orders.
