Soul Stream
I have no defense of myself. I have all the JOS the same way I have all the Patton and all the Freddie Roach, ect.... Obviously to the detrement of other types of jazz. But I was a fan first and a player later. So, I've been loving it a long time. I LOVE jazz organ, and since JOS was the king, how can you NOT have it all!
Indestructible!
Got about 40-45 JOS beauties myself (all but a couple are on CD). Would love to have Soul Stream's collection though! Jimmy was the MAN! Cheers, Shane
Free For All
I've actually got them all. (sorry, I'm a freak). Just curious, how many is that?
Guest Chaney
A serious question, posed by an admittedly organically-ignorant person: Is the range of the organ (oh, let's say the b3) so great that there'd be so much variety from any one artist to really justify owning dozens of that artist's recordings? Soul Stream
I've actually got them all. (sorry, I'm a freak). Just curious, how many is that? Not sure how many that would be. My collection is scattered, totally unalphabetical, ect. I'd have to look at the allmusicguide to know actually.

king ubu
24, most of them Blue Notes (only 50s and 60s), a few VMEs (The Cat, the one with Wes, Organ Grinder Swing, Blue Bash, Root Down, and the great first Verve disc he made), and the one with Eddie Harris. Never checked out much of Smith's post 1965 music.

Kevin Bresnahan
Damn, I voted 11-24 and I just re-counted and got 26! I guess I got more Jimmy than I thought. I can't get enough of "Cool Blues". Jimmy Smith and Tina Brooks... can't get much better than that. Well, especially when you add Blakey!
