CJ Shearn
what time is the stick drop at? I listened to the solo in headphones twice and couldn't hear it. And honestly, I agree about the Zappa tune, the only one I don't bob my head.. oh wait, make a track called "Bob Yo Head" and make sure when you perform it wear chicken head masks
Ron S
I think "Shut Yo Mouth" would make a great tune, with Jim and Joe improvising to the chord changes from "Shaft".

Big Deal
Hey! I like the Zappa tune as well! Of course it sounds even better when I hear you guys play it live. I finally recieved my copies on Friday, just in time for my trip up north. So I have listened to it quite a few times over the last few days and I can finally add my comments. It's great! Thanks guys for another steller CD!

scottb
I'll now explain my KennyG pick. That'll be 2 records down the road. 3-4 years of grueling world tours. Jim finds it tough to leave Zora and the twins Jimmy and Lonnie at home. So you pimp Kenny G as you sell out for the money so you can sell 1 million copies and retire to the Bahamas until the kids are settled. Then the big Organissimo reunion tour ensues. Just make sure Randy says something like "The band will get back together when donkeys fly." Great for promoting the Flying Donkeys Tour. GregN
nice. I'll listen for it in headphones. ← Oh man! .. A stick fumble frozen in time.. I'll never live it down.. ← Randy, even when you fumble, you score! That was an awesome take!!! Musical moments such as the stick fumble only make things more real. marcello
That was Randy. He dropped his stick towards the end of the guitar solo. ← Don't worry guys. There is a cut on Bob Brookmeyer's "Blues Hot and Cold" where Mel Lewis drops one of his sticks and, to make it fit in, a bit later drops his stick again; in time. I listened to this on tape with Mel late one night and he pointed it out to me. A lesson from a Master.

JSngry
Heard you guys on KNTU this morning. Sounded GREAT! Guess I need to get with the program and order a copy... I've said some unkind things about KNTU in the recent past, and see no need to retract them. But nothing's all bad, and if you guys can get some airplay and broader exposure out of 'em, hey - outstanding!

Jim Alfredson
Thanks, Jim, Alexander, and Matthew. I know I keep saying it, but we're very proud of the record. Here's hoping that it leads to some bigger things. We got together to rehearse for the first time in a month yesterday and it felt real good. Came up with some new song ideas, one of which is a nasty shuffle thing. Gotta keep pushing!!!
