Man with the Golden Arm Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 Cynical Hysterie! thank goodness there are folks out there who will pick up a collectable when a remastered edition is available at the ready! Quote
sidewinder Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 Gotta have this super-rare Chet Baker CD.. Baker Mega Rarity Quote
jazzkrow Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 That Danish seller of the ultra "rare" ($10 maybe) Chet Baker Profile cd should change his moniker to PT Barnum. The nerve.... Quote
brownie Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 A copy of that 'ultra rare' has been (it may still be there) a copy for 6 or 7 euros lying around for weeks in one of the Paris stores... I see copies of this ultra rare item regularly! Quote
sidewinder Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 I'm sure my local HMV still has a stack of 10 or so of these for £4.99ish. Quote
Swinging Swede Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 Baker Mega Rarity Starting bid: US $49.99 (“LOW STARTING PRICE” according to the seller…) Buy It Now Price: US $193.99 That’s beyond ridiculous. Amazon.com marketplace has seven new copies of this CD for between $6.93 and $13.13. Quote
sidewinder Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 Must be a scarcity of this particular title in Denmark. Quote

Bluerein Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Strange thing is this auction made the Dutch newspapers this morning. It said it was an auction by a Dutch woman (even named in the paper) so I'm puzzled by this auction. Are there more of these cakes or is this the buyer of the Dutch woman's cake. As you can tell with this selling price I'm baking cakes for the next couple of weeks to see if Mary (and the lottery) may come again!!!! Quote
Brad Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 I like Brubeck but this Dave Digs Disney must be really good Quote
Bill Nelson Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 And to think I laughed when I saw a used copy for $7 the other day. I just called the store owner at home to have him hold it for me. ** Hopefully he'll just watch Monday Night Football and go to bed. ** I was real casual and said my dad was raving about it at dinner. Quote
Bluerein Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 and what to think of the Ebay listing fee....... Quote
Brad Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 Here's a Gil Melle auction that is nuts and bidding is not over yet. I wouldn't be surprised if it hits $100. Quote
