Gheorghe Posted February 26, 2012 Report Share Posted February 26, 2012 After Eddie Lockjaw Davis had died, Red Holloway who used to play with Jaws came to Vienna quite often. I remember him well. Very good musician, and such a nice guy. Once I took a person who before that was unfamiliar to jazz, to the club to catch a show with Red Holloway and he sure liked it. Well... A really booting tenor player, whom I love. But on alto, very different, very lyrical. I think I like him even more on alto.
