I don't buy much for CDs or LPs anymore.  I am closer to the end of my travels and am past the accumulation stage of life if that makes any sense.  That said there is music I would still like to hear and want you all to make a living.

On average, artists get about 82% of the purchase price.
This is after Bandcamp's cut and payment processing fees.

Artists get 100% on "Bandcamp Fridays" which, for the rest of the year,
will occur on Aug. 1, Sept. 5, and Dec. 5, so you can work up a collection
to buy on those days if you wish.

To clarify a bit, whoever posts the music on bandcamp gets this payout. Not necessarily the artist. In the case of Mr. Hawkins (whose "Song Unconditional" album is really excellent), this would be the label, INTAKT. I would be very curios to know how the label / artist revenue split for digital downloads works, but I appreciate the sensitivity of the issue.

This is a great release. It is beautifully recorded which allows the extraordinary music to shine.

New release on Intakt- terrific gig from 1981 radio broadcast SRF

Irene’s Hot Four- Schweizer, Rudiger Carl, Johnny Dyani, Han Bennink.

Impressive lineup delivers. I don’t know Carl but he’s well up to the world class standard of the others.

Fully delivers. An incredible disc, easily one of the most exciting and unexpected archive releases in years.

Fantastic. This is really great stuff. I am looking forward to the Schweizer, and intrigued by the forthcoming one.
